I work during the day, and I want to continue my education. The problem with that is most universities are not geared toward wierdos like me who want to persue degrees in different fields. (aka a second bachelors).

Most universities make nigth classes available for grduate students, and that's about it. I'm not ready to rush off to graduate school just yet with all the other busy bees. I was very suprised at the limited availability of continuing education courses.

What gives? Are people like me such a minority in the market that they just don't bother coming up with suitable programs?

Beats me, man. All of the schools around here, especially state schools and community colleges, offer plenty of opportunities for people seeking a second bachelors, whether it be night classes or otherwise. Maybe you should get a graveyard job and go to school during the day.

Really? Either this is a California thing, or I'm not looking hard enough. I don't live in a metropolitan location, which doesn't help things either.

It's probably your location. I would imagine schools in the city have plenty of opportunities. Where are you living now?

I live 40 miles from civlization, but I'm down the street from one of the nation's top ranked schools. The problem with them is they are too hardcore, offering only nigh courses for graduate students. I spoke with one of their couselors and I was informed it would be "virtually impossible" to complete another degree with night classes alone. :(
