Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Should we believe that the end is near for Russia?
Or how can someone deny what is happening geopolitically in reality? I mean, someone prove that Assad will still be toppled, NATO will start a war with Russia and win without ending the world, turkey will turn on Russia again and with west kick it out of Black Sea and Caucasus.
Mouradian is not speaking about cars or smartphones guys. He is talking geostrategic stuff which I don't see reason to believe will happen.
On the contrary, I see the opposite happening so far.
Assad won't be toppled because Obama was too weak, not because Russia has risen as an undisputed superpower, and I'll add that his army is made up of Afghans, Iranian, Iraqi Shias, and Syrian Alevis. His economy is 1/10 of what it was in 2011, and Syria is a big pile of rubble.
As for LGBT, there's lots of them in Russia too. LGBT is something that has existed for ages, and there's nothing you can do to abolish it. Even ISIS can't get rid of them by throwing homosexuals from 5th floor.

LOL I think we should call this thread the Armenian hangout spot or something...way offtopic.

In 24 hours all paid weirdos are chanting harmoniously

"Azerbaijan: Israel’s Shia and Secular Partner

The Turkic States and Turkey’s unique position are important for Israel’s foreign policy and foreign investments. As, Israel-based multinational cooperation MERHAV Group of Companies’ VP Dr. Nimrod Novik said that “The primary interest is to prevent the development of Turkish strategic dependence on Iran, given the unique emerging strategic relationship between Turkey and Israel.”

Trump's increased ties with Azerbaijan are going to make US and Israeli presence stronger there.
          Will Russia counter? And how?
One thing clear, more US presence will make Azerbaijan becoming a member of EEU, like Russia was hoping, less likely.
US and Russia may compete for azery arms market, but that is shrinking due to less oil revenues.
I see Israel beings big winner, but Azerbaijan?
Time to put our lobby in overdrive in US.

You are entirely missing my point man.
Again, facts brought that I don't see affecting geopolitical picture.
May LGBT exist for million years more, but that does not weaken Russia so far. Nor LGBT or western courts win nuclear war.
I just simply don't see US pushing Russia out of Black Sea or Caucasus in any meaningful future. Period.

It is unknown for now what will happen. Even if NATO wants to extend deep into azerbaijan to the border of Iran it will do enough to mess up the azeri thin balance on pleasing everyone. Iran will turn azerbaijan to a Syria. aliyev buying time to please Russia by wanting to buy Russian advanced arms will not last too long. azeris are being played like a toy by the shekelists.

Russia learned long ago not to counter where the West wants it to counter. Madeleine Albright might be brought back from her nursing home.

Did an ill-fated train journey really pull Serbia and Kosovo to the brink of conflict?

We need to build a wall on the border with Azerbaijan, that's the only thing that's gonna stop them.
Perhaps this will go to record covering our future actions?
Hitting and changing positions in Artsakh is one thing, but no matter what the line here is an international line and changing it is not that easy without being labeled as aggressor.
Building a wall, I agree is maybe the best way now.
But even for the wall we may need To keep Azeris from demolishing it in couple of days with artillery.
A wall between two countries at peace time is diffrent than at war time.
Also, preventing us from building by sabotaging it may be seen by Azeris as triumph.
In any case it is better to keep situation in focus with whoever has interest.
Other question is, what is our government planning to do?

Russia deploys Nebo-M mobile multiband radar system to Armenia

According to the Russian and Armenian media, Russia has deployed its all-new Nebo-M mobile multiband radar system to the Russian base in the northern city of Gyumri.

Recently, 10 units of 55Zh6M Nebo-M radar systems were delivered to the Russian Defense Forces from the manufacturer, Nizhny Novgorod Research Institute of Radio Engineering.

The Nebo-M is a 3D radar system that features a programmable multi-band design. The radar complex is made up of a central data fusion, a command post module and three radars which are deployed on separate 8 x 8 24-ton trucks.

Earlier last week, it was reported that Nebo-Ms were deployed in Russia to counter any threat stemming from NATO anti-ballistic missile systems in Eastern Europe.

Armenia and Russia signed a joint air defense agreement in late 2016.

Probably the same as what it has been doing the past 9 years, practically nothing. I am surprised even the villagers are still there.
