What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

^^^ That is less than $15 per barrel for US shale oil.
My guesstimate, it will go up to $55 and sometimes to $60 and in less than a year it will land hard. It will go back to around $40 that is the new norm. My two cents.
I agree with you, Shale will create a natural ceiling on price. We might see a lot of increase in price but it will always be short lived. I think the world is better with low oil price. Countries that only export oil can sit back and host sport games instead of controling regions with their oil money.

Trying to make sense of the Russian deal with “turkish Stream” gas pipeline and how it is going to effect the “TANAP” (azeri) pipeline being constructed.

Info on “Trans-Anatolian gas pipeline” the azeri pipeline with 58 percent ownership.

“The construction of Turkish Stream is set to begin in 2017, and should be completed by late 2019.” The Russian/turkish pipeline.
The Turkish parliament has ratified a deal with Russia regarding the construction of a natural gas pipeline dubbed ‘Turkish Stream.’

The azeri TANAP pipeline is going slow most of the construction is being done on the other end, by Greece and Albania according to this azeri site. See all the articles at the bottom of the page. It is all about Greece and Albania.
Great progress has been achieved in the process of implementation of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) project since the groundbreaking of the pipeline

Map of the two pipelines competing for the same markets.

Before this Russian/turkish deal the azeris where crying and is shock few months ago.
“Turkish Stream unlikely to join TANAP
With [Azerbaijani state oil company] SOCAR being a major stakeholder in TANAP, notably owing 58 percent, it is highly unlikely to approve such a proposal which will undermine its own future prospects to pump more gas to Europe after fully developing the second and third phase of its Shah Deniz gas field,” Marazis told Trend by email.

At the same time Brussels will not be enthusiastic about such a possibility given its Energy Security Strategy which prioritizes diversification of supplier countries and routes, the expert noted.

Earlier, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlut Cavusoglu proposed to connect the Russia-developed Turkish Stream pipeline which envisages Russian gas supplies to Turkey and further to Europe bypassing Ukraine to the TANAP pipeline…

Turkish Stream gas pipeline project is unlikely to join TANAP gas project, says Andreas Marazis, Project Manager and Researcher in European Neighborhood Council think tank based in Brussels

Than you have the shattered dreams of the shekel boys for a free ride.
Israel is considering the possibility to transport its gas to Europe via the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline (TANAP) through Turkey

From my conclusion it looks like the azeris got a royal turkish stick up their xxx?

        The azeri TANAP
The planned capacity of the pipeline would be 16 billion cubic metres of natural gas per year at initial stage and would be increased later up to 23 billion cubic metres (810 billion cubic feet) by 2023, 31 billion cubic metres (1.1 trillion cubic feet) by 2026, and at the final stage 60 billion cubic metres (2.1 trillion cubic feet) to be able to transport additional gas supplies from Azerbaijan and, if the Trans-Caspian Gas Pipeline, from Turkmenistan. Keep dreaming

        The Russian Pipline "Turkish Stream"
The planned capacity of the pipeline is 63 billion cubic metres per annum of natural gas. Turkey would take about 14 billion cubic metres per annum, the rest of the gas was planned to be exported to Europe.

16 vs 63 sounds like a pipeline went into aliyev's rectum by his cousin

Sounds like the azeris are going to burp their gas. They built all kind of pipelines and infrastructure around the Greek gas transit and it looks like they are getting the cold shoulder.

"Aliyev team drug Azerbaijan into isolation
Azerbaijan has backed away from the purchase of the Greek gas transmission system operator DESFA. Indeed, the State Oil Company of Azerbaijan Republic (SOCAR) demanded the Greek government to reduce further the purchase price, but Greece refused, stating it was bound by legal constrains. ... The Greeks said such reduction would be illegal. Consequently, the sale was cancelled. ... the isolation of this Caspian country from Europe is becoming obvious in Brussels. An increasing number of MEPs from the two big political families in the European Parliament (EPP and S&D) has demanded political action for Azerbaijan’s poor human right record."

Since Russia screwed the azeri/shekel dreams of exporting their gas to Europe, looks like the shekel boys are now going to run a pipeline all the way under the Med. to Greece. Everyone is entitled to dream.

"Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras and Cypriot President Nicos Anastasiades will hold a one-day summit on Thursday. The three first met together in January in Nicosia in what was hailed as the formation of a new “strategic alliance” in the eastern Mediterranean.

Israel is currently weighing three options for exporting its recently discovered natural gas. The first is to export to Egypt for its needs. The second is to export to Turkey, a country keen on diversifying its energy supplies, and the third is to lay a pipeline to Cyprus and then to Greece. This option is by far the most expensive."

And the reality of what do Greeks think of the whole joke?

"Trump may back Cyprus solution, not Israel-Cyprus-Greece energy exports

ATHENS – The new US Administration of President Donald Trump is unlikely to facilitate the export of hydrocarbons from Israel, Cyprus and Greece but support for solution of the Cyprus problem will remain, top experts told New Europe.

Turning to US-Russia energy relations, Ellinas noted that it is well known that Trump and Russian President Vladimir Putin admire each other.

Perhaps as Trump concentrates on domestic issues he may want to limit distractions overseas and pursue better relations with Russia ..."

The latest on the azeri gas pipeline from hell. Italy is not too sure about the pipeline that runs from Greece to Italy. Azeris are begging the US now since turkey back stabbed aliyev.

Info on the "Trans Adriatic Pipeline" that connects the Russian or the azeri incoming pipeline.

                The azeris crying
"Azerbaijan: US should be at SGC consultative council meeting
The two sides also discussed the termination of the deal for the sale of 66-percent stake in Greek gas grid operator DESFA by Azerbaijan’s state oil company SOCAR and the impact, which the referendum in Italy can have on the implementation of the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline’s (TAP) construction project."
Azerbaijan’s Energy Minister Natig Aliyev noted the importance of the United States’ representation at a high level at the 3rd consultative council of ministers on the Southern Gas Corridor project in order to give political support to the project.

                The Italians
A victory for the “yes” side at the Italian referendum on constitutional reform of December 4 will return to the state the power to legislate on energy matters.

Here goes the promise of cuts

"Oil dips as OPEC, Russian output rises ahead of production cut
Global oil prices slipped on Tuesday as data showed crude output rose in most major export regions despite plans by OPEC and Russia to cut production, triggering fears the fuel glut that has dogged markets for over two years might last well into 2017."

THe option of pipeline to Turkey has been eliminated long ago.
                    The map below clarifies that.

                    Reason?, solution of Cyprus issue.
Considering Turkey's as usual unrealistic demands, one of them "Alternative rotation of the Presidency between Greeks and Turks"
                    Solution seems far away.

The rest of the answer is in the map.

Reason also for Israel, Cyprus, Greece get together.
                    .
