Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

YEREVAN, JULY 31, ARMENPRESS. The Turkish Government is not going to
return Sansaryan Han building located in Istanbul's Eminönü district
to the Armenian Patriarchate of Constantinople. An Armenian college

      Armenian Patriarchate.

As reports `Armenpress' citing Turkish gazeteport.com news website,
the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bülent Arınç has
recently stated that the issue of returning the building is not on the
agenda. The Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bülent Arınç stated this
in his response to the written query of political figure Sezgin
Tanrıkulu representing the Republican People's Party (CHP). Among
other things, the Deputy Prime Minister of Turkey Bülent Arınç
underscored: `The Chief Department on Foundations does not hold
      activities regarding this issue.'

When erdotwit the hybrid hominoid made his derogatory remarks about Armenians the other day, he was playing to the audience he was speaking to. He was playing to the general hominoid (toorcee) populace.
This group of mongoloids hasn't changed.
If you take this monkey mofo's previous phony speech on the wrongness of what happened circa 1915 and compare to latest speech, you see the true nature and feelings of the hominoids to our west & east.
Superficially they act human but in fact they are INHUMAN.

For racist comments, Erdogan could learn much from Artashes. But they probably equal each other in their immaturity, neurosis, bile production, general spitefulness, love of the sound of their own voice, and love of checked jackets.

Erdogan gets a much bigger audience though. What has the rate of postings on this forum declined to? Two or three a day if you ignore the Military Balance thread?

I think you have a point there Bell.
Unforunately, there doesnt seem to be alot of active members on this side of the forum
But I know that there are ALOT of Armenians from reddit who read the threads here
              Especially the military balance thread
So they can have topics for discussion on the subreddit

EDIT: I do have to disagree when it comes to Artashes. He contributes to the discussion greatly if not enhances it even though his choice of words may be unfavorable in your opinion.

Turkish nationalist committee barred from entering Athens

The Talat Paşa Committee, a Turkish nationalist organization aiming to counter recognition of the 1915 events as the Armenian genocide, has been refused entry to Athens to issue a statement

The Talat Paşa Committee, a Turkish nationalist organization aiming to counter recognition of the 1915 events as the "Armenian genocide," has been refused entry to Athens, where it had gone to issue a statement in protest at a recently approved Greek bill.

The members of the committee left for Athens on Jan. 9 with the aim of making a statement in front of the Greek Parliament, but returned by the Greek authorities.

The committee wanted to protest and demand the withdrawal of a controversial bill approved by Greece’s parliament in September that stiffens penalties for racially motivated crime and criminalizes the denial of genocide and war crimes.

The delegation of 13 people was intercepted by police at the airport and prevented from entering the city for “security reasons.” They were sent back to Turkey on the next flight.

Speaking to reporters in a news conference, Turkish Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu said anyone must be able to hold peaceful demonstrations, while refuting allegations that Ankara had tried to block the committee’s visit to Greece.

                    Perinçek case

Çavuşoğlu also commented on a European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) case between Switzerland and Turkey’s Workers’ Party (İP) Chairman Doğu Perinçek.

He said he would prefer Perinçek, who is banned from going abroad in relation to an ongoing coup case, to be able to attend an ECHR appeal hearing on an Armenian genocide denial-related case.

Çavuşoğlu said he had expressed the same view in a phone conversation with Perinçek, but noted that the local court in Turkey would make the final decision.

Perinçek was found guilty by a Swiss court on March 9, 2007, after his participation in a number of conferences in Switzerland in 2005, during which he publicly denied that the Ottoman Empire had perpetrated the crime of genocide against the Armenian people.

Following the Swiss court’s decision, Perinçek appealed to the ECHR in 2008 in Strasbourg, arguing for “freedom of expression.”

However, Perinçek is currently prevented from leaving Turkey after being jailed in connection with the “Ergenekon” coup plot case.

“The process is in the [Turkish] Supreme Court’s hands now,” Çavuşoğlu said.

The foreign minister also stressed that Turkey would “defend its thesis in the best way possible” in the upcoming months.

MHP youth wing head slams Armenian jazz concert

The head of the Nationalist Movement Party's (MHP) youth organization in Kars has asked if Armenians should be hunted down in the streets, in reaction to Armenian jazz musician Tigran Hamasyan's concert in Kars on Sunday evening.

According to a story in the Hürriyet daily on Thursday, Tolga Adıgüzel criticized the fact that the performers wore priests' vestments. Adıgüzel claimed that in 1915, Armenians killed many Turks in the same area as the concert, which is why the concert was inappropriate. He questioned the motive of the concert, asking: “Who supports them at home [in Turkey]? What is their intention? Who are those sold-out traitor brains that organized the event? Should we hunt down the Armenians in the streets?”

Adıgüzel stated that Turkish people do not have national ceremonies or festivals at the holy places of Armenians, saying: “Just because we didn't do it it does not mean we cannot. We noted this [concert].” He also claimed that if something similar happens again, they will do anything necessary to stop it.

Hamasyan came to Turkey for the Turkish leg of his ongoing project “Luys i Luso,” a representation of Armenian sacred music from the fifth to 20th centuries performed in 100 churches around the world and performed a concert in the ruins of the medieval city of Ani in the eastern Turkish province of Kars.
