What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

Ex-Commander of Artsakh Armed Forces – We’ve Already Handed Over Too Much Land

The former commander of the Artsakh armed forces, Argady Ter-Tadevosyan, aka Komandos, today stated at NKR independence ceremonies in Stepanakert that even though he was a seasoned war veteran and educated in the art of warfare, he learnt how to defend the land and people of Artsakh against superior Azeri forces when he stepped foot in the war zone.Pointing to the graves of Artsakh war dead, Commander Ter-Tadevosyan commented, “When you visit this memorial and see the graves of those who fell, you understand just what they accomplished and how their heroism was manifested.”

He stated, that of late, average Karabakh residents are asking him if there is the possibility of war breaking out again. Commander Ter-Tadevosyan said that he tells them that while everything is possible Artsakh today has a “strong protector” in its army and in its people. He added that the third important factor in this regard is the resources that derive from the unity of the Armenian people.

Answering reporters’ questions regarding the return of certain territories in a peace deal, the battle-hardened commander said that, “this land and this spectacular natural beauty is ours and will always remain ours.” He added that since he is a soldier whose comrades spilt blood on this land he could only speak negatively about land concessions.

“What can we give back; we’ve already given back so much. We’ve ceded Shahoumyan, Martakert, Artzvashen … What is there left to give?” retorted the former commander, adding that he cannot understand those who talk about returning any territories.

Madrid Principles, Protocols Get Booed-Down in Kashatagh

Today’s ceremonies in Berdzor, Kashatagh, marking the 18th anniversary of Artsakh independence, took on a decidely political overtone. More than 1,000 people, some from as far away as Vayots Dzor and Syunik, joined local government officials at the ceremony organized by the Kashatagh Regional Administration and the ARF.

Davit Ishkhanyan, a representative of the ARF’s Artsakh Central Committee, told “Hetq” over the phone that the assembled throng had made it clear once again that the liberated territories were not subject to negotiation, despite whatever diplomatic processes are taking place in various European capitals. Mr. Ishkhanyan added that people were loudly chanting “No Way” whenever the Madrid Principles were mentioned and that the recent Armenian-Turkish negotiation protocols were also met with boos and hisses from the crowd.

NKR President: “An independent Karabakh will be based on other than old Soviet borders”

A “Hetq” reporter asked President Sahakyan whether Karabakh settlement negotiations based on the Madrid Principles would in fact lead to territorial concessions. “Such questions often arise and are directed at me regarding how Artsakh pictures its future independence; whether within the territories of the old Nagorno-Karabakh Autonomous Region or outside its borders. We see the future independence of the NKR as being outside those borders and it cannot be otherwise,” stated the president.

We should remind readers that President Sahakyan has adopted a fairly clear policy on the issue which has been mainly expressed in the liberated territories. On various occasions he has stated that “the independence and security of the Republic of Mountainous Karabakh is not subject to negotiation”.

At the same time, President Sahakyan has stressed that these territories were liberated in the early 1990’s and have been officially recognized in the NKR Constitution as constituting NKR territory, being classified as a “security zone”.

In his remarks, President Sahakyan noted that alongside the many losses and hardships during the past 18 years, the country has registered numerous achievements that have primarily come at the cost of those who gave their lives for the benefit of Artsakh. “The people of Artsakh understand this full well and today are directed by this understanding,” he noted.

President Sahakyan also touched upon the recent normalization protocols signed by Armenia and Turkey, saying that the process would show the international community which nation, in fact, sincerely wishes to realize such constructive relations.

“Sadly, we are dealing with a country, Turkey, which still employs deceit as part of its political policy. We see how various Turkish officials are interpreting the protocols after having been signed. Of course, this isn’t an encouraging sign and that we shouldn’t expect the establishment of sincere and open relations. However, I believe, that the Armenian people will come out the winner in this process since Armenia’s intentions are sincere,” commented President Sahakyan.

Official Baku again engaged in misinformation
            10.09.2009 14:22 GMT+04:00
/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Disseminated today by the Azeri media the information that “the Armenian forces took the offensive in the Aghdam direction, resulted in 5 Armenian soldiers killed and 3 wounded” is another fabrication of Baku. As the press office of the NKR Defense Army told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter, the Armenian forces completely control the situation both in Aghdam, and along the whole line of contact between NKR Defense army and Azerbaijan’s military forces.

APA Azeri news agency reported today that the armed forces of Armenia on September 10 at 9:23 took the offensive in the direction of Agdam district. During shooting, allegedly, 5 Armenian soldiers were killed and 3 others injured. There were allegedly wounded from the Azerbaijani side.

Samvel Karapetyan – Cultural Genocide Awaits Any Liberated Lands Returned to Azerbaijan

Samvel Karapetyan, Director of the RoA Branch of the Armenian Architectural Research Center, today stated that Armenians have already made a detrimental concession as evidenced that it is twenty years that Northern Artsakh has been depopulated of Armenians. “We talk about and brag about the fact that we are ready to make painful concessions, but we have already done so,” stated the outspoken Mr. Karapetyan at a press conference held today.

He went on to say that this fact has not been noted anywhere in Armenia and that it does not bode well for Armenian diplomatic moves in the future. “He, who has lost out and is not aware of the fact, is bound to lose again.”

Mr. Karapetyan rhetorically asked what di the RoA Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by Vardan Oskanian, do when the Armenian cemetery in Jugha was desecrated and destroyed recently, an event that Mr. Karapetyan described as a posthumous second genocide of the Armenians of Nakhijevan.

The specialist said that Armenia must speak tio the world in the language of culture and that instead of babbling about concessions, Armenia must make the world understand that if any territories were to be returned to Azerbaijan the entire world would suffer from a cultural standpoint.

“We didn’t have the self-dignity to make the world comprehend the scope of our loss that if we make a line in the sand and give back territory on the other side to the Azeris that all cultural traces and history will be wiped away. Yes, Armenians will be the first victims but world culture will come out a loser as well,” Mr. Karapetyan noted, adding that if we had devoted our energies in this direction at the time we would have garnered much moral support.

What is the Tashnagtsoutyoun and the Jarankoutyoun parties waiting for? For when... which day??? Now is the exact time to act. They have to put their heads together and fight politically, culturally and every which way. This is the day to do it.
