The Berlin Colonial Conference :

During this conference, the African continent was scrambled by European Colonial Powers. The Ottoman Empire which has inluded Algeria, Tunisia, Lybia, Egypt and Sudan for three centuries, participated to this conference as possessing (still) Lybia.

There is a parallel between the Berlin Colonial Conference and Lausanne Treaty : both African and Armenian peoples were then not present during these agreements between the Great Powers :

Il is important to point out the participation of the Ottoman delegates to this conference.

Nowadays, there is a tendency -specially in Europe- to keep the Turks "clean" (as "Europeans") while charging the Arabs with all negative aspects.
