Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

In this day and age every country is dependent on other countries. Yes we are dependent on Russia for security but they also have interest in keeping us in their fold.

If you look at recent history ( 30 -40 years ) when the Soviet Union had a strong relationship with Somalia and its Dictator, the Soviets dumped Somalia in favor of Ethiopia because its interests were better served at the time. I will not go into the consequences

Take nothing for granted and play the game as well can be played.

Respect and coperate with your partner (all being as a junior partner) but do not develop an umbilical cord.
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.
Great politicians pursue the National interest and small politicians personal interests

The chord was never severed and still cannot be. To think otherwise is delusional. Armenia depends on russia for a lot more then just security although that alone is enoughf to define a umbilical chord. Armenia does not have a choice because russia is the only country powerfull enough to protect whatever similar interest the two countries have. Our other option is Iran but it is a far less attractive option then russia. Besides military security russia has huge investments which allow armenia to have things it would never have otherwise like nuclear powerplants, it also is a huge importer of Armenian products (Liquer, fruites, stones..) It also provides many raw materials to us far cheaper then market prices,.... i can go on for a while but i think i made my point. Armenia is hardly a partner to russia its more like its little kid.

          Re: serje the traitor

You guys talk about Armenia as if she is a oil-only-small-Arabic-puppetstate-ruled-by-a-king. You should have more trust in to your country. However that should be realistic (As Haykanan and bell-the-cat often say; some of your dreams are really dreams). But most of you do not trust to your Armenia, blaming her leaders as being traitors, thinking she is alive today because thats what Russia wants, thinking opening the borders would ruin it all etc... thats really sad.

Not a single word about all this on Armenian TV channels, total media blackout! And the most astonishing and amazing miracle of all times is that all the cacophonous clamors of Jewmockratic hyenas have been totally shut up!

This post of mine has been brutally mutilated by the mod. H.

I just expressed my utter frustration because of the calamity that has already happened. If you read the second part of my post you'll see what I mean. The damage is done and HYPOTHETICALLY, the only way to stop the signing of the protocols, i.e. avoid throwing the entire Հայ Դատ in the garbage can of history would be the HYPOTHETICAL disappearing of Serj.

There are certain humorless douchebags with endless feeling of hatred who want to be the only smartass of the board. I simply ignore their offensive asses and this ignoring makes them more rancorous towards me. Yet I know you are not such a person, that's why I reply to your comments.

Yeah, there are some Judas loving, Armenian hating individuals on the board. What can you do.

I accept your explaination and honor the manner in which you presented it. Although i have been pointing out the possible positives of opening the borders, these protocals sadden and insult me as much as any other armenian here. I must insist on observing reality and basing our decisions upon it in a unemotional way because that is the only way we can make the right decisions in general. We are all the same people and we want whats best for our small country and the armenian people inside and outside it. Realistically i have concluded Armenia is our future as a people and a nation thus we need to do whatever will serve her interests best. Todays situation kind of takes part of that respocibility away from us because what Armenia does is dictated to her by far larger powers and it has no choice but to comply. In my opinion the way the diaspora can serve the interest of the Armenian nation is to involve itself on a personal level with it. As you can see millions of dollars and hundereds of polititions are not going to get us what we want. Instead of waisting our resources, time and energy on fruitless ventures we should be building a personal relationship with our country-go there-interact with her and her people-explore her natural beuty-rich culture-vibrant city-be armenian for real! I hope people understand where i am coming from but if they dont there is still no need to insult.
