- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

    Interesting Development..
USA: We’ll recognize Karabakh independence, should Azerbaijan start a war
03.11.2009 19:14 GMT+04:00 Print version Send to mail

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ Washington has set Azerbaijan a firm ultimatum: Karabakh independence will be recognized, should Azerbaijan attempt to launch military operations in NKR, Yeni Musavat Oppositional Azeri Party official website reported on Tuesday, followed by other Azeri media representatives.

Baku asserts US Deputy Assistant Secretary, Tina S. Kaidanow was the one to express US position on Baku's increased militaristic statements on Karabakh conflict settlement. Moreover, US assert possessing information on Azerbaijan’s secret preparations for a war.

In observer's opinion, Baku's military rhetoric is caused by the fact Azerbaijan's territorial integrity is not included in agenda of Armenia-Azerbaijan negotiations on Karabakh status, mediated by Russia, US and France, NEWSru.com reports.

No territorial concession admissible in Karabakh settlement process
03.11.2009 18:46 GMT+04:00 Print version Send to mail

/PanARMENIAN.Net/ “Official Sepanakert has received no document enshrining Madrid Principles,” Head of NKR Government’s Information Department Hrant Aleksanyan told a PanARMENIAN.Net reporter.

Aleksanyan also confirmed NKR Prime Minister Ara Harutyunyan’s statement on Artsakh territories’ being enshrined in Constitution and territorial concessions’ being out of the question. Head of Information Department also reiterated Premier’s statement on Nagorno Karabak’s actively implementing various economic programs on liberated territories, repairing the irrigation system, water reservoirs and roads. All those programs aim at “creating favorable conditions for repopulating the territories,” he said.

In the meantime, Aleksanyan added that repopulation and economic programs were more actively implemented in Kashatagh and Karvachar regions.

But why would US do this? What is the advantage to them? Does that mean US-Turkish relations and Azeri-US relations will get worse.

The relations are secondary to business. Right now, a war in the region would mean more delays in future deliveries of oil from Azerbaijan. The last thing the U.S. needs is higher oil prices at a time when the U.S. economy is crumbling so anything to persuade Azerbaijan from launching a war is favorable to the U.S.

That, and the u.s. wants to show the turks and azeri's that it means business. This is also a warning to official ankara not to link the ratification of the protocols with the Artsakh issue.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

I fear this has sinister implications for us.

It might mean that the US is trying to "reassure " the Armenian side that there will be no dangers when they are made to action the conditions of the protocols.
(The not visible ones) i.e. During the withdrawal of their forces and destroying their defense lines.

Remember the protocol will be from now on like an albatross round our neck.
Politics is not about the pursuit of morality nor what's right or wrong
Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.

U.S. Denies Karabakh Recognition Threat to Azerbaijan

YEREVAN (RFE/RL)–The U.S. State Department flatly denied on Wednesday an Azerbaijani press report alleging that Washington has threatened to recognize Nagorno-Karabakh as an independent state unless Baku commits to a peaceful resolution of the Armenian-Azerbaijani dispute.

The “Yeni Musavat” daily claimed that Deputy Assistant Secretary of State Tina Kaidanow issued the warning during a recent visit to the Azerbaijani capital. It cited Kaidanow as telling Azerbaijani leaders that they should avoid attempting to win back Karabakh by force or risk a formal U.S. recognition of the region’s secession from Azerbaijan.

Terry Davidson, a spokesman for the U.S. Embassy in Baku, dismissed the report as “manufactured.” “She said nothing like that,” Davidson said in a statement.

“Tina Kaidanow did speak at length about U.S. support for a peaceful resolution to the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict in an interview with ANS TV,” he added. “In that interview, she said ‘I think it’s important to say right away that the United States is very supportive of a peaceful and a just resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.’”

Analysts also disputed the credibility of the report, saying that it contradicted Karabakh-related policies of successive U.S. administrations. Rasim Musabekov, a prominent Azerbaijani pundit, suggested that it was an attempt by unspecified forces to undermine Azerbaijan’s relations with the U.S.

“I don’t rule out that there are people not really interested in the development of U.S.-Azerbaijani relations,” Musabekov told RFE/RL’s Armenian service by phone.

He noted that the “Yeni Musavat” report coincided with a visit to Washington by an Azerbaijani government delegation. The delegation comprises senior Azerbaijani diplomats and security officials.

These Azeris love to make things up don't they, it's a shame that they are taken seriously when it comes to oil. You have to hand it to them though, their creativeness does have some comedic value.
