    Unity in diversity

I will ask you to read this article from the IANYAN Magazine, giving big, though distant, hopes of the Caucasus ever becoming a peaceful region.

Unity in Diversity: Overcoming Negative Stereotypes in the South Caucasus

Here is the version in spanish, which of course is not meant for you to read (if you don't speak spanish), but I would like you to focus on the images of tweets made in the page:

Superando estereotipos en el Caucaso Sur (Overcoming stereotypes in the South Caucasus)

If you can spread these articles I will kindly ask you to.

    ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
After reading both articles, I have found mixed feelings while asking myself "Are we really targeting the correct enemy?"

By viewing the peaceful coexistence of the 3 major ethnic groups in the Caucasus, one may think...why can't it be like this elsewhere? Conclusions come and go, but one prevails...What have we done?

As years pass, I've been able to realize that the conflicts we found ourselves involved in as of today, are far more than anything ... political. We found ourselves following the same game these politicians play, letting hate being spread amongst our peoples, putting more bricks and building more walls in order to protect us from the enemy...and I repeat...are we targeting the correct enemy?

But looking at these images, where children play and coexists as if they were one...although it gives you an utopic feeling of "They don't know what's really going on"...maybe it is us who don't know what's really going on, maybe we claim and criticize about those ones who are 'brainwashed by the media' when the case may be we do as well, maybe the conflict is not between our people, but between the interests of those in power of the people, these guys who obtain profit from us hating each other and going to war...maybe this is all a game, a sick game we've been all forced to play. But maybe not...

Again, although peace in the South Caucasus region may be utopic, and in many opinion including mine as of one hour ago 'imposible', maybe the winds of change are indeed blowing...although far away from where the problem is.

Let's hope these children of today be the leaders of tomorrow, and then maybe peace between our countries will pass from a dark-humor joke, to an all-time reality.
