You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)

- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Casualties mount as the Turkish Army attempts to wrestle control of Al-Bab from ISIS
      By Chris Tomson - 08/02/2017

After establishing a foothold at the western entrance of Al-Bab, the Turkish Armed Forces and aligned Syrian rebels have seen their joint Euphrates Shield forces in eastern Aleppo gain further ground over the past 24 hours in the battle for the imperative Islamic State bastion.

Beginning on Wednesday around midnight, elite assault units of the Turkish Army and proxy Syrian militants fighting under the banner of the Free Syrian Army (FSA) swept through several sites which ultimately saw them take control of the National Hospital, Youth Housing and Aqil hill in the western part of the city.

Effectively, ISIS controls around 90% of the city after months of persistently repelling hostile factions at the gates of the city despite sustaining a massive ongoing artillery barrage.

Unfortunately for the Turkish Armed Forces, 2 soldiers were killed and a further 15 injured during clashes on Wednesday. The injured Turkish combattants were immediately transfered to a nearby hospital and are in stable condition for the most part, state media reported. Furthermore, ISIS and Syrian rebel factions suffered a number of casualties.

Now, the Turkish Army is within striking distance of the Zamzam mosque and Mashira Park but will likely try to pinch out an ISIS bulge in the northwestern part of the city, thus solidifying their forward positions.

Meanwhile, the Syrian Arab Army is closing in on the southern flank and threatens to cut off ISIS’ only supply line to the city which in turn would inevitably settle its fate.

        By Leith Fadel - 09/02/2017

BEIRUT, LEBANON (4:25 A.M.) – The Russian military completed its largest missile delivery to Syria to-date this week, a U.S. official told Fox News on Wednesday.

Russia has just sent Syria the largest shipment of missiles between the two countries to date, the latest delivery between the two allies that could further change the stakes in the Middle East, U.S. officials told Fox News on Wednesday.

According to this U.S. official sourced by Fox News, the Russian military delivered a large shipment of 50 SS-21 short-range ballistic missiles to the Syrian coastal city of Tartous over the last two days.

The SS-21, which comes in different types, has a range of roughly 100 miles.

Al-Masdar News is unable to confirm the validity of this report.

Syrian government demands Turkish Army immediately withdraw from Syria
                  By Leith Fadel - 17/02/2017

BEIRUT, LEBANON (5:50 P.M.) – The Syrian Foreign Ministry sent a statement to the United Nations Security Council (UNSC) on Friday, calling on the international community to put pressure on Turkey to leave Syria and end their aggression against the country.

This statement from the Syrian Foreign Ministry comes just 24 hours after the Turkish Air Force massacred two dozen people inside the city of Al-Bab in east Aleppo.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan sent his armed forces into Syria last August to help his rebel allies seize the border-city of Jarabulus.

Following the capture of Jarabulus, his armed forces and their rebel allies began a lengthy operation to seize the strategic city of Al-Bab, which they have yet to take control of, despite superior numbers and firepower.

In addition to fighting the Islamic State (ISIS), the Turkish Armed Forces have repeatedly targeted the Kurdish-led “Syrian Democratic Forces” (SDF), leaving many people to believe that Erdogan is not just interested in fighting ISIS.

Recently, Erdogan told journalists in Ankara that his forces will not be done with their military operations in Syria once Al-Bab is captured; they will continue their campaign until they take control of Al-Raqqa.
