Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Notes On Romantic Things

Simply put, this thread is about your ideas of romantic "things" and ( since "things" is very fungible ) it can include a variety of things so go ahead and run your fat finger across the keyboard and be romantic, dammit

Now, I admit I am not the biggest romantic nor very romantic for that matter, in fact I am pretty clueless sometimes when it comes to "romance stuff" and someone has to remind me because amid all the school, drunkenness, mastirbation, bathroom breaks, "going out" and video games, I tend to forget, but here are some romantic ideas and endeavors I wouldn't mind employing to someone I was in love with:

-On a random night, pick up and drive up to the Griffith Observatory, and take a blanket, while watching the city lights and the sky lights and the stars and speaking of their existence and our place in it (and where some knowledge of astronomy or astrology will impress her), all the while cuddling of course, while sipping from the French Vanilla that we picked up from the 7-Eleven ( or if its not too late, from Starbucks or Coffee Bean in which case I would definitely get a Chai Latte with whole milk) right before going up to Griffith park.

-Stay with her in bed if she is sick and complaining. Try to get sick from her. Insist on kissing her while making tea for both of you ( because tea is the shyt!!!! )

-If you're in the car ( and if you happen to have a cool song such as November Rain by Guns and Roses or I'd Miss You In a Heartbeat by Def Leppard or Send Me an Angel by Scorpions), pull over someplace sort of quiet and isolated, turn up the music a little so you can here it outside and ask if you can have the dance.

-On her birthday, or anniversary or something, getting her ( not sappy things like chocolates or flowers ) Neruda's love poetry, specifically Viente Poemas De Amor Y Una Cancion Desesperada which is in Spanish, but the kick comes with my own translation in English attached with it in nice handwriting.

-Read her one of the romantic stories during bed that have been immortalized by Chretien de Troyes, such as the Knight's Tale from his Arthurian Romances.

-Putting small little gifts in odd places, such as a rose or her favorite sweet in her drawer with a note maybe. Or attach romantic notes in random places while you're not there she can find them and read em. Or you can slip notes in her purse or pocket, etc.

-To make a calendar with special events or what you would like to be special events, such as taking special walks or going on a picnic on the 14th of every month or something.

-Asking her to pose for me to draw or paint ( nekkid would be preferred too).

-And another great one would be reading a book together and discussing.

Of course I haven't gotten through to doing even 0.01 % of the stuff I just listed, but they are just things that have always been on my mind to try out, to unleash the potential romantic within, sort of.

Yes I do silly. Didnt even give me a chance to write it.

For some really silly reason every time I think about my boyfriend and or husband doing a romantic thing for me, I think of Beauty and the Beast. When the Beast took Bell into the library...... then when she opened her eyes and saw all those books. Then the Beast told her all of this is your. Now that would be romantic. I would be over joyed. But then again you wrote all the good stuff, I can’t think of anything at the moment. I’ll return to this thread with some original ideas.

Well Aladin was a little more romantic for me when I was young. Especially the part on the flying carpet singing "A whole new world"....the first time I saw it, I was nearly crying ..but I don't know if I should tell it in front of everyone

            Damn, just did it..

I like the idea of putting small gifts in odd places with notes. I think that's a great idea.

Like for example, if you get out of bed and before you go to work (whilst she's asleep), write her a note with a chocolate sweet, saying something like have a good day, love Tom. And put it in her g-string drawer(cause you know she's going to wear a g-string).

She eat the sweet and it will melt in her mouth. (Just like last night).

No more of that, "What's love exactly?" Aww, you came out of your shell.

                - Before she takes a bath, put a love note in a bottle in the bathtub.
                - Add some humor: Attach a note on the TV remote saying, "Turn me on istead!"
                - My favorite: Leave a trail of "Hershey's chocolate kisses" from the front door to the bedroom, right up to the bed. On the bed leave a note that reads 'I kiss the ground you walk on.' Make sure you're not home though.
                I see...

I just want to say, be careful when you try to get sick from your sick g/f. You really can get sick.

Does inviting a girl going indoor rock climbing sound romantic? I went indoor rock climbing recently, and it would be really fun to do on a date.
