What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

3] Keep the focus.

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

what you said, dashnaks??!!!!! ..Oh my God! ..the most cynic TV channel today in Armenia is the "Erkir" dashnaks channel, the "best" porno films is showing namely on this dashnaks TV channel, the most corrupted ministers in Armenia today are dashnaks, isn't it enough? dashnaks extreme armenian nationalistical idea is the most dangerous idea for our republic,<by a way, don't forget that it were namely dashnaks ministers that had stolen the treasure of the first armenian republic> WHERE ARE OUR MONEY£££ DASHNAK THIEVES??! Almost 70 year of the "cool war" dashnaks had been supported$$ by the US goverment to destroy our great soviet country, finally, they succussed in the getting Armenia destroyed and one of the poorest countries in the world.. and not amazing that dashnaks always supported what's worst for Armenia, for instance, today's criminal karabakh regime in Armenia. We must say, unfortunately, foreign (esp. american, european) armenians did not have much opportunities to choose right political ideas regarding Armenia due to,for example, those dashnaks, thus,we must be patient to them and try to explain them the truth and the reality. "Armenia is not Karabakh and Yerevan is not Stepanakert's branch!" http://armenia4.white.prohosting.com!

Thank you, Turkoglu. When criticisms comes by the way of garbage - it's actually a compliment.

Who is this garbage called Armen2008?

I think we have four options:

      1) He is a Turk posing as an Armenian

      2) He is an Armenian working for Turks

      3) He is a dangerous lunatic on heavy medications

      4) He may be working for the Armenian authorities (or the Russian NSB) trying to discredit the opposition in Yerevan by revealing how absurd their political platform is.

Moderators: Can you please track his IP address and tell us his location.

Obviously English is a third or fourth language for him, that's why he keeps copying and pasting his garbage. However, he speak Armenian street slang quite well and he also seems to be good in Russian.

I would not be surprised if this Armen2008 person is an individual trying to garner support for the pro-Russian regime in Yerevan by making outlandish anti-Russian, anti-ARF comments. However, if I had to bet, I would bet he is a lowlife Armenian on the payroll of some American based NGO trying to spread anti-Russian, anti-ARF, anti-Armenian propaganda in cyberspace. We will see more of this as the elections in Armenia nears.

They probably got wind of this forum due to my numerous posts about the Armenian Russian relations.

ARF History Museum Opens in Yerevan

The Armenian Revolutionary Federation History Museum was inaugurated during an official ceremony on July 13 at Yerevan’s Kristapor Mikaelian Center, with the party’s leaders and supporters on hand to mark this momentous occasion. The first of its exhibits is dedicated to the first Independent Republic of Armenia from 1918 to 1920. The exhibit details the ARF’s activities during that period when the party governed the fledging republic. Government documents, stamps and other artifacts are the centerpiece of the exhibit, as well as official documents presented by Armenia at the Versailles Armistice in 1919.

Personal effects from Armenia’s prime ministers Hamo Ohanjanian, Alexander Khadissian, Simon Vratsian and Hovannes Kadjaznouni, as well as generals Antranig and Dro are among the highlights of the exhibit. Opened in 1946, the ARF History Museum was in Paris and throughout the years has accumulated more than 3,000 artifacts chronicling the party’s history. After the ARF’s return to Armenia, the museum and the ARF’s archives have been transferred to Armenia. Among the dignitaries attending the opening was Socialist International president Luis Ayala, who welcomed the establishment of the museum as an historic and important turning point in ARF’s history.

The opening began with a ribbon cutting ceremony by ARF Bureau chairman Hrant Markarian and museum and library benefactor Zohrab Tazian, an ARF leader from the Easter U.S. Welcoming remarks were made by ARF Bureau member Albert Adjemian , who emphasized the importance of moving the party’s history museum to Armenia since its resumption of activities there. “The opening of the museum has filled a great void in Armenia’s history,” said the director of the Genocide Museum and Institute Haik Demoyan, who called the exhibit one of the richest collections from one of Armenia’s “most dramatic” historical turning points.

Re: Dashnaktsutyun - Armenian Revolutionary Federation

ARF's candidate in presidential election to be ARF member

ARF Supreme Body of Armenia representative Armen Rustamian, speaking at a news conference today, reiterated that the ARF will nominate its own candidate – an ARF member - in the forthcoming presidential election. The candidate's name will be revealed after the Supreme Congress to be held in autumn. Rustamian said that the Supreme Congress would nominate a candidate and not announce the ARF is to support another candidate. Rustamian also said that a cooperation with the Heritage party or any other force is possible. "If there are political forces that would accept our approaches, we will define cooperation mechanisms with them. As for the Heritage party, we share common ideas in terms of national ideology with Raffi Hovhannisian."

Commenting on National Assembly speaker Tigran Torosian's statement that a president would be strong if he has a majority in parliament, Rustamian said that authoritarianism cannot be effective. "Strong authority should be based on rightful concepts. There should be mechanisms of balance and restriction in the government. It would be even better if the president represents another political force." Responding to the question where the incumbent president would be after the 2008 presidential election, he said, "I don't think he would be where the first president is."

DASHNAK REPRESENTATIVE CALLS HOAGLAND’S FAILURE ‘AN ARMENIAN VICTORY’

A senior member of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) has called it a victory for the American-Armenian community that the White House finally gave up its intention to appoint Richard Hoagland U.S. ambassador to Armenia. Giro Manoyan, the spokesman for the Armenian Revolutionary Federation’s governing Bureau, on Tuesday praised the successful efforts of the Armenian community in the United States to block the congressional confirmation of George W. Bush’s nominee who questioned the fact of the Armenian genocide in Ottoman Turkey. The Bush administration withdrew Hoagland’s nomination late last week after several abortive attempts to win congressional approval. Career diplomat Richard Hoagland’s nomination had previously been blocked by Democratic Party members of the Senate.

In explaining why the mass killings of Armenians in Ottoman Turkey did not constitute a genocide, Hoagland once said that for such a crime to be considered a genocide it should have had a premeditated nature. According to Manoyan, Hoagland’s stance is not consonant even with that of the U.S. government. “According to Hoagland, the events were not of a premeditated nature and therefore did not constitute a genocide. While the U.S. does not use the word ‘genocide’ to describe the events, it still does not question the fact of genocide,” Manoyan explained. At the same time, the senior Dashnaktsutyun representative said it was essential for the future ambassador to Armenia to have a position reflecting that of the U.S. government, which, he said, was not the case with Hoagland. According to Manoyan, while official Yerevan did not interfere with the matter, the withdrawal of Hoagland’s nomination could also be viewed as a success for Armenia’s diplomacy. “I think that the White House wanted official Yerevan to put pressure on the Armenian community in the United States not to block the approval of Hoagland’s nomination, but fortunately official Yerevan did not do that,” Manoyan said.

Re: Dashnaktsutyun - Armenian Revolutionary Federation

Let us not forget the long line of heroes that come from the ranks of the Dashnaksutyun-Andranik, Serop Akhbyur, Gevork Chavush, Garegin Njdeh, Dashnak Dro, Keri, Nikol Duman, and so on and so forth.

The 3 chief organizers of the Armenian Genocide-Tallat, Enver, and Jemal Pashas, among others- were hunted down and assassinated by the Dashnaksutyun...Park yev Pativ.

For decades, Dashnaktsutyun branches in the worldwide Armenian Diaspora have lobbyied the parliaments and governments of Western states to officially recognize the Armenian genocide.

If it weren't for the ARF, the Turks would have long gotten away with the crime of genocide.

The ARF played an important role in the formation and organization of the modern Armenian army and ARF freedom fighters were among the most prominent and distinguished in the Artsakh liberation struggle.

In 1995, a Russian journalist asked Shamil Basayev, “Where have you faced defeat?” He replied, “In 1994, I saw defeat in Martakert, and then suffered an even bigger loss in Fizuli at the hands of the Dashnaks .” Basayev said, “If I'd had twenty boys like the Dashnaks, I would've conquered the whole of Russia.” Shamil Basayev left the war and said, “These people are fighting with belief in their territories, while those on my side do not believe that this land belongs to them. The land is running out from under them.”
