Armenian church in Iraq bombed.

The Armenian church in Baghdad was car bombed today.

I have friends that are from there and they're saying Christians have turned in to targets, like, killings every day and such, now churches, wow.

I wouldn't be surprised if Turkey is supplying them with weapons.

So, is there any indication that this was an attack against Armenians in particular or did they just explode a random schurch and it happened to be one of ours?

There were a few other churches (more than 5, I believe) that were targeted at the same time as the Armenian church, in a coordinated attack. Seems like an attack against Christians.

Yea, I believe two of the other churches were Assyrian churches, and being that my step-dad is Assyrian, yesterday was a sad day for both of us.

I suppose those anti-war "activists" would now be talking about these murderous bombings as much as they talked about the bombing of Iraq? Or maybe not - after all, most of them are Muslims or otherwise apologists for fundamentalist Muslims..

I wonder.. is this Arafat's and fundamentalist Muslims' idea of "democracy among the guns"? Not to mention, is this and this the anti-Islamophobia activists' idea of life for religious minorities in Muslim countries? Questions, questions... I think being killed while praying is a great way to die.. Maybe we should target more mosques? After all, this seems to be an eye for an eye philosophy that the fundamentalists are following.. and well, according to the "reasoning" behind this act (if there is any), it seems to be justifiable just because it's a retaliation. Does that also make Sabra and Shatila justifiable, I wonder? But of course not - because the victims in that case were Muslims, non? In Fisk's words, "Democracy, democracy, democracy ... If you went on saying it often enough, anything could be justified. Better still, you might end up believing in it."
