On both sides, Armenians fought bravely, giving their lives believing that their actions could someday resurrect the vitality and security of their homeland. It is not wise of you to put one of them in a negative light. Afterall, what makes you think that fighting for Stalin was better? His hands were just as stained with blood, if not more than what is claimed of Hitler.

We don't know what would've happened for sure, it is all speculation, so I wouldn't praise one outcome over the other as absolutely better.

What an imagination. What a non-sense ! It is the first time I hear that. Hitler did not invade Sweeden or Switzerland.

Don't quit the forum just because you disagree. Jgk is right to say that it's all assumptions and we can't absolutely predict one thing and chose it over another.

I was only speculating anyway.

How could I express myself ? ...In those days, it was a just question of life or death for (Soviet) Armenia. It was not the same as in France for example, occupied by Nazi Germany. And even that, we have not right to speculate on such crucial issues. People have been killed, tortured, deported, exterminated because of racism, not only because of political crimes as it was in the Soviet Union.

I just quit this very original, unexpected, speculating, funny topic of "Hitler's plan to invade TURKEY...". But please, believe me, it would have not been very funny if such a thing had happenned.
