The cleric used Friday prayers to make his extraordinary attack. After he spoke, thousands of supporters who had packed a hall at Tehran University chanted: 'Death to the UK, America and Israel'.

It follows the British Ambassador to Tehran being summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry earlier this week after Gordon Brown and David Miliband made 'interfering and rude' comments about the election....

What idiots...I mean that's what Israeli extreme nationalists want them to say, the 'wipe Israel off the map' is now a reality. All Bush needed for the war on Iraq was a thousand dead, what Israel needs to rid itself of the Palestinians (aka ethnic cleanse all Palestinians) is hate speech from Iran. I mean what has this hate speech done? Nothing except inflame tensions even more.

As for the election I think its a sign of a split in Iranian politics, I think eventually Ahmadinejad will get back in, but not without a very bloody nose. It is clear that the opposition won't let it go.

But did Ahmadinejad really have to rig the election so blatantly....I mean virtually equal results (basically 35% everywhere) in every district, even the one where the opposition leader lives...that's vote rigging. That's where the anger is coming from. I think Ahmadinejad and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were a very bad judge of their own people, and if the chaos right now is anything to go by its their own fault. I think had they vote rigged the elections so (or just given the actual results) that Ahmadinejad had just barely got in there would have been no chaos like there is now.

Well Bako Sahakyan is looking forward to his friendly neighbour's coexistence - or I should say the only friendly neighbour in the region - thank God for Iran.

I see it around me too; whenever they see a Jewish person they pretty much bow to them just a bit short of kissing their feet.

I believe Canadians are more in control and plus Canada is not as powerful a nation politically and industrially as the US and so probably the Jews in there are more relaxed and not so pushy to get control of the country; because Canada doesn't matter to them as much as the US. This is my observation of course.
The Americans are a spineless, bunch and your right about the way the Anglo's grovel towards the xxxs. Which is a mistake, as the xxxs are ethnocentric and always insidiously work against other peoples interests.

The problem with America however socio-cultural and economic. American saving rates are far to low and the American debentured masses for far to long have lived far above their means. Which is the main reason why all the money and power is being centred in fewer and fewer hands.

The Chinese on the other hand have the highest per-capta saving rate in the world. In this world money is power and they know it. From now on American workers will have to pay far higher taxes, merely to service the countries national debt. Whilst public spending will have to be cut, which will result in further socio-economic decline.

Ordinaryly because Americans are a highly industrious people and they would eventually get back on their feet. However the country is now so socially stratified and inter-communal relations in America are extremely bad. That if it where not for the US's increasingly fascistic highly centralised federal government. I suspect that the country would more than likely fragment into several different ethnic states.

Although Canada is obviously not on a par with the US militarily. Canada has always had a powerful Navy and Canadian solders are extremely professional.

Whilst Canada is increasingly sadly becoming more and more like the US and is losing it's own character and identity. Canada has always been a far more moderate, civilised and less aggressive country than the US.

Iran accuses Canada of interfering with internal affairs
Top Canadian official in Iran called into meeting

Iran has added Canada to a list of countries that it accuses of meddling in its internal affairs and feeding unrest in the wake of the country's disputed presidential election.

The Iranian Ministry of Foreign Affairs called Canada's chargé d'affaires in Tehran to a meeting on Thursday, reportedly complaining that Canada has been spouting meddlesome comments and media coverage of the outcome of Friday's presidential election that showed President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad winning by a 2-to-1 margin.

All three of Ahmadinejad's challengers have alleged the results came out of vote rigging and and supporters from both sides have mounted massive daily rallies since Monday.

There were no immediate details regarding what was discussed at the meetings.

The Canadian Embassy in Tehran has not returned calls from CBC News.

    'Intolerable' meddling
Officials with the Department of Foreign Affairs declined to comment on the meeting but said the chargé d'affaires is still in the country.

"We do not comment on the content of diplomatic meetings," said Natalie Sarafian, press secretary to Foreign Affairs Minister Lawrence Cannon.

Sarafian added that Canada is continuing "to call for a fully transparent investigation into electoral discrepancies."

Diplomatic officials from several European countries — including the Swiss envoy who represents U.S. interests in Iran — have also been summoned by authorities this week to discuss diplomatic concerns.

Iran has accused the United States of "intolerable" meddling in its internal affairs — an allegation the White House has dismissed.

    Crackdown online
Iran appears to be accusing countries of using official statements by government officials and websites to meddle in its internal affairs, said CBC News Washington correspondent Paul Hunter.

"Iran isn't being absolutely specific by what it means by all of that," Hunter said.

Cannon has denounced the "brutal treatment" of protesters while Prime Minister Stephen Harper has said Canada "finds the behaviour of the regime unacceptable in so many ways that I cannot even begin to name them."

Journalists working for foreign media have been restricted from first-hand reporting on the streets in an attempt to block images and eyewitness accounts from the rallies.

Iranians using social networking services such as Twitter, Facebook and text messaging services to get their message out seem to be a key point of contention for authorities, Hunter said.

On Wednesday Iranian authorities ordered any material that "creates tension" and encourages public disturbance and street riots be removed from Iranian websites and blogs.

The government has blocked certain websites, such as BBC Farsi, Facebook, Twitter, blogs and several sites supporting reformist leader Mir Hossein Mousavi that are being used by Iranians to release pictures, videos and accounts of the protests and violence occurring in the country.

Officials alleged many of the "deviant news sites" are being financed by American, British and Canadian companies and feeding the civil unrest.

Canadian officials have told Iran's chargé d'affaires in Ottawa that the government is concerned about the situation.
