I recently came across this article from a few weeks ago on the Economist website.
I wanted to write a letter to the editor of the magizine but first I decided to see if someone had already commented on it. Sure enough, norman stone, a prominant Genocide denier from the u.k. had posted this garbage.
The last part really pissed me off since it is complete bs, as The International Association of Genocide Scholars unanimously passed a formal resolution affirming the Armenian Genocide in 1997, not to mention countless other evidence.
I did send an e-mail to the editor, then I checked the "inbox" section which contains more letters that weren't published and I saw that khazar ibrahim, the spokesmen of the azeri foreign ministry had responded with the usual azeri propaganda bull.
I left a simple comment, but the point of this thread is for us to REALLY counter all the bs being spread about us, like we did with time magizine's ad in Europe, when they had placed an ad by turkey denying the Genocide. This is not the first time that the Economist has either not used the term "Genocide" or has let people assume that there is still a question whether the events of 1915-1922 were really Genocide. The economist is a major publication and many elite people from all sectors of society read it, so let's please start an effort to confront this continued denial by a so called "liberal newspaper". Do your part by writing e-mails to them [email protected] or contacting local Armenian groups and asking them to help you do something about it.
We may not have as much money to spend on pr and propaganda as turkey/azerbaijan, but we do have a proud and vocal Diaspora, now is a good time to do something for our people and nation!
BTW: In his recent interview, Dr. Armen Ayvazyan talks about how and why we must counter enemy lies.

However, the Armenian diaspora has poisoned the relationship by its endless insistence on having this or that foreign legislative body, from Congress to Cardiff city council, “recognise” as “genocide” the tragic events of 1915. But the great bulk of specialists in the time and region, starting with Bernard Lewis at Princeton, are sceptical as to whether “genocide” is the right word for a tragedy in some degree provoked by the Armenian nationalists of the time.
