started a topic Communism in Armenia

    Communism in Armenia

As I know from my Russian friends; and the Russians I've met; communists in Russia are very rare these days.. One of my friends even said "they are nowhere".. However; of course that does not mean no one is missing old USSR days; indeed some do. "It was better before 1990" I've heard this many times; mostly from elders. But are they communists? No. They just think old days were better.

So, I wonder if any communists left in Armenia.. Of course there might be some; but I mean, as a political power; or a noticable group, do they exist in today's Armenia? And if they do; are they also nationalists or mere socialists?

I wonder the same question about Azerbaijan too, however I know this is not the right place to ask.

For example in Georgia; their (communists) era is totally over, its a fairy tale now because of the anti-Russian politics; Western support and current government's ultra-nationalist policies -which I hate the most-.

PS: Dashnak, I am not an agent and I am not offensing anything. I just wonder and want to learn more about Armenia and Armenians. And this forum is a great place to ask and learn about those questions. Where could I find that many Diaspora & Armenian Armenians anywhere else?
