This website shows the exact number of Armenian speakers over the age of 5 in each of the neighborhoods of the City of Los Angeles. It was tabulated using the 2000 Census.
By my rough count, the total of Armenian speakers in the City of Los Angeles is about 60,000. This includes both dialects.
Highlights include:
14,000 in Hollywood (home of Little Armenia; Alex Pilibos School and Dikranian School)
9,000 in North Hollywood
5,300 in Van Nuys & Lake Balboa combined (they used to be one)
5,000 in Los Feliz/Griffith Park (incl Hollywood Hills, I presume)
3,000 in Valley Glen
2,300 in Tujunga (adjacent to Glendale; near Chamlian School)
823 in Encino (home of Ferrahian School)
436 in Sherman Oaks (home of Merdinian School)
356 in North Hills (home of Ferrahian's 2nd campus)
93 in South LA (ie, South Central -- there's actually an Armenian church nearby, saw it with my own eyes lol)
46 in Bel Air
17 in Koreatown
0 in Chinatown
NOTE: This is ONLY for the City of Los Angeles. There are areas outside the City of Los Angeles that have large numbers of Armenian speakers, such as: Glendale, Pasadena, Burbank, Montebello, Orange County, etc.
NOTE 2: These numbers do not purport to represent to number of Armenians in each neighborhood; rather, the number of Armenian speakers aged 5 and over. There's a difference.
