Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)
1] What you CAN NOT post.
You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene
You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)
The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!
2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.
This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.
3] Keep the focus.
Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.
4] Behave as you would in a public location.
This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.
5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.
Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.
6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.
Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.
7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.
- PLEASE READ -
Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.
8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)
If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Re: ADL, NBC, AJC, USC & AG denial
Southern Povertly Law Center issues report indicating rampant Turkish denial of historical fact of Armenian genocide in U.S. academia.
Campaign advisers for both U.S. presidential candidates advise Turkey to prepare Plan B re: US recognition of genocide.

ADL, NBC, AJC, USC & AG denial
The University of Southern California, aka Trojan Nation, harbors genocide deniers and active supporters of Turkey without any concern that the conduct of these university leaders and members puts negative light on the university (then, again, this is USC we are talking about aka University of Stupid Cheaters).
Meanwhile professors (e.g. Norman Finkelstein) who believe that the Holocaust has been overplayed get run out of their tenured position at other American universities and face other sanctions.
Holocaust/Israel critics punished but Armenian Genocide denying Turkey supporters rewarded at collegiate level.
How can any school of higher education include deniers of the Armenian Genocide, a historical fact, among its faculty, board of directors and trustees, and school sanctioned activities.
It is undisputed that, among other American J-ewish lobby organizations, the Anti-Defamation League and the American J-ewish Committee have actively lobbied on behalf of Turkey to prevent official recognition of the Armenian Genocide by the U.S. Government and have refused to recognize the Armenian genocide for political reasons related to Israel's relationship with Israel.

Joey Kurtzman wonders if any one in ADL and AJC will have the courage to go to Foxman and David Harris and nudge them to speak the truth about the Armenain Genocide. http://www.j-ewcy.com/post/update_j-...tirring_things
Kurtzman responds to position of AJC as voiced by its representative Barry Jacobs that so much time has passed since events that who knows if it was a genocide. http://www.j-ewcy.com/post/american_...des_took_place

"On Feb. 5, AJC leaders were among the representatives from a handful of J-ewish organizations – including the ADL – who met with Abdullah Gul, the Turkish foreign minister, in Washington D.C. The meeting centered around a written plea from Turkish J-ews, asking American J-ewsh organizations to not lobby on behalf of the congressional resolution." http://www.jcrcboston.org/newsroom/n...watertown.html
The USC Shoah Foundation "is part of the College of Letters, Arts & Sciences at the University of Southern California" (just like the School for Armenian Studies). http://college.usc.edu/vhi/instituteataglance.php; http://college.usc.edu/tradition_inn.../armenian.html
Bruce Ramer, former national president and current honorary president of the AJC, is on the Shoah Foundation Institute's Board of Councilors. http://www.ajc.org/site/apps/nl/cont...241&ct=859413; http://www.charitywire.com/charity11/00484.html; http://commdocs.house.gov/committees...hju64352_0.HTM ("My name is Bruce Ramer. While acting as national president of AJC, on behalf of the AJC, Mr. Ramer actively lobbied for the Bush Administration's continued support of Turkey's "efforts to reestablish a cooperative relationship with the International Monetary Fund" stressing that "the development of Turkey's political and economic modernization is important for US strategic, political and economic interests in the region."
Also, as AJC's national president, Mr. Ramer in the company of ADL's Foxman traveled to Austin to request George W. Bush, before he became 43, assist them by ousting Pat Buchanan from the Republican Party. http://www.bostonphoenix.com/archive...EPUBLICAN.html [Last month, Bruce Ramer of the American xxxish Committee and Abraham Foxman of the Anti-Defamation League, along with others, traveled to Austin, Texas, to have lunch with Governor Bush. Ramer raised the issue of Buchanan, whose book A Republic, Not an Empire had just been published. In the book, Buchanan blames Britain and France for World War II: "Had Britain and France not given the war guarantees to Poland, there might have been no Dunkirk, no Belgium, Luxembourg, France, or even Italy." (This view has been shared by a minority of historians, but expressing it didn't win Buchanan any political points.) These concerns did not move Bush, who came out with a statement later the same week saying that Buchanan should remain in the party.]
The Shoah Foundation in conjunction with the ADL incl. Abe Foxman and Yad Vashem created a multi-media education program re: the Holocaust and anti-bias.
Steven Spielberg, director of Jaws, whose main character the mechanical shark is named after his attorney Bruce Ramer, is the founder of the Shoah Foundation and one of the Institute's Honorary Chair. http://www.variety.com/article/VR111...yid=2516&cs=1; http://college.usc.edu/vhi/download/2000/03_04_00.pdf; http://college.usc.edu/news/october_2005/shoah.html; http://college.usc.edu/vhi/leadership.php
Mr. Spielberg and Mr. Ramer along with fellow Shoah Institute councilor Wallis Annenberg and Stanley P. Gold (Ramer's former partner at Gang, Tyre, Ramer & Brown, Chairman of the J-ewish Federation of LA and President and CEO of Shamrock Holdings) are on USC's board of trustees. http://www.usc.edu/about/administration/trustees/

Among other media outlets, NBC, Universal and NBC entertainment - all owned by General Electric - are major contributors to the Shoah Foundation; and, in the past, Spielberg's Dreamworks and Universal have partnered in the release of films, Dreamworks has recently considered switching from Viacom to Universal; and, Spielberg maintains his offices at Universal and Spielberg works with Universal re: Universal Studios. http://college.usc.edu/vhi/download/PF-2004-Spring.pdf

As a leader of USC, and under its auspices, Bruce Ramer, a member of an organization that denies the genocide and actively supports and lobbys for Turkey is allowed to thrive and even lobby on behalf of the University in the Halls of U.S. Congress (including rubbing elbows with Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi) despite also doing so on behalf of the AJC.
