PanARMENIAN.Net/ Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) welcomes the bill prepared by North Dakota parliamentarians, which proclaims April 24 as Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Armenian Genocide. The Committee’s message says, “ANCA welcomes the bill introduced to the House of Representatives of North Dakota state by North Dakota Congressmen Lilly Hanson and Joe Koeber, as well as David Nething. The document offers to proclaim April 24 as Remembrance Day for the Victims of the Armenian Genocide. It says that the annihilation of the Armenian nation was being carried out by destroying churches, schools, libraries and cultural monuments. The main goal of those crimes was to totally exterminate the traces of a noble civilization with history over three thousands years.” With the adoption of this resolution North Dakota joined those 40 states, which have already recognized the Armenian Genocide.
