    I can only tell you about the first half of the album, since that's just about as far as I got before becoming fed up with this Broadway musical. Undoubtedly, its success comes from its big gimmick -- that most of the cast is made up of Sesame Street puppets, and that its musical numbers address topics such as racism, homosexuality, pornography, sex, and pop culture.

    It's surprising that its raunchiness wasn't able to keep it going in Las Vegas; its run at the Wynn ended within less than a year, despite Steve Wynn's attempts to promote it (remember the fuzzy orange taxi cabs?). Yet Mamma Mia! has been running at Mandalay Bay for six years.

    I can only conclude that its success on Broadway is due to the fact that Broadway audiences don't get much of the raunchy, politically incorrect subject matter and puppets in Avenue Q very often, whereas Las Vegas...
