Re: Most Annoying Song
I thought you guys might find this interesting.
Scientific Attempt To Create Most Annoying Song Ever
An online poll conducted in the ’90s set Vitaly Komar, Alex Melamid and David Soldier on a quest to create the most annoying song ever. After gathering data about people’s least favorite music and lyrical subjects, they did the unthinkable: they combined them into a single monstrosity, specifically engineered to sound unpleasant to the maximum percentage of listeners. The song is not new, but it resurfaced on Dial "M" for Musicology.
Amazingly, this "most unwanted music" contains little dissonance — that would have been too easy. For the most part, they seem to have tried to assemble these elements in a listenable way.
Komar & Melamid and David Soldier’s list of undesirable elements included holiday music, bagpipes, pipe organ, a children’s chorus and the concept of children in general (really?), Wal-Mart, cowboys, political jingoism, George Stephanopoulos, Coca Cola, bossanova synths, banjo ferocity, harp glissandos, oompah-ing tubas and much, much more. It’s actually a fascinating listen, worthwhile for the opera rapping alone. (We didn’t think that was possible either.)

Did you realize that Eiffel's (almost) ENTIRE album was filled with different versions of the same song

Like I care... I wonder whether you would've butted in and made such a big deal out of it, had we talked about a non-Turkish transexual singer...Originally posted by seruven View PostLucin, KanadaHye,
I have a very low opinion about you after reading what you've written about Bülent Ersoy and Turkish music. Your sole intention in these posts is to find a way to insult Turks. That's awful, but what is more awful is your way of doing it: Mocking with a transexual. (She is a she, not a he/she)
Btw, though I don't listen to those singers (and that type of music), I think both Bülent Ersoy and Ebru Gündeş have great voices.

Dude he didn't mean it racially, I like the Fine Young Cannibals and that dude sounds totally girly, like Dakota Fanning on helium, and Dave Mustaine (one of my favourite musicians) has a voice like someone's elderly auntOriginally posted by seruven View PostLucin, KanadaHye,

Re: Most Annoying Song
Kardesh, I don't know much about Turkish music or singers but I think people get into a lot of confusion because they aren't Turks and it IS kinda hard to understand Turkish music, no offence. There are too many scales and gamuts and they use them A LOT.Btw, though I don't listen to those singers (and that type of music), I think both Bülent Ersoy and Ebru Gündeş have great voices.
I got very confused when hearing that Israel male singer (who sang the recent song with Sirusho) sang in Eurovision. I thought he was a girl and so did many, many others. i just want to say that these kinds of confusions happen all the time.

Re: Most Annoying Song
Hey, I never said Ebru Gundesh has a horrible voice, I just said that when I first heard her sing, I couldn't tell whether it was a man or a woman. It's okay though, she's just a woman with a coarse tone. Anyway, I'd probably sound worse than her if I tried to go high pitch like she does in her songs, because I myself, don't have the most womanly Alice-in-wonderland-voice.
I guess you just have to know her, to know that she's not a man-singer.

I haven't written anything that isn't already known. I have many opinions regarding how the media likes to glorify eccentricity for political purposes. If she is a she and you can't tell that she sounds like a man, then I suggest you get your hearing checked.Originally posted by seruven View PostLucin, KanadaHye,

Re: Most Annoying Song
Actually I've not followed up turkish arabesque music too much as you. ( It should be famous in diaspora). Also I don't interest in her special choices or partners.I'm only against of kidding about people's sexual choices and using it as a degeneration of a society or race ( nationalist approach ).Originally posted by KanadaHye View PostBulent Ersoy is considered a "Diva" in Turkey. Is Turkish society trying to match the freakish culture that is America? Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!.
PS. Considered a Diva is welcome for a conservative society.
