The Bob Sheppard Quartet will be at Spazio on April 29. It is a truely great show. Bob Sheppard was the sax player on the track Red Bats with Teeth off of the Lost Highway sound track. The last time I saw them perform, Peter Erskine was on drums and Dave Carpenter was on bass. That is a very tough line-up to compete with but Sheppard does not perform with mediocrity. I recommend you see this show.

Also at The Baked Potato are Tony Mac Alpine, Patrice Rushen, Virgil Donati, Bunny Brunnel. They are there on Friday April 30. Amazing. Virgil Donati is a drummer who lacks charm but makes up for in technical insanity. Bunny Brunnel is a nutcase on bass, whether it is a 6-sting guitar or a beautiful electric upright. Tony MacAlpine will be doing his tasteful yet fast sweep-picking. Good show.
