I could not find in my search if this subject has been mentioned before, it concerns the famous colorant E120 which can be found in a lot of foods, beverages, cosmetics (for our ladies here who use lipsticks), paints, etc,, but funny is that the synthetical colorant being carcinogenic, now it is common the use of the colorant E120 extracted from an insect named cochineal and the article in wiki http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cochineal
is very detailed on this issue. Many non christians are campaigning against this product as it is against their religion, as well as vegetarian circles -for my part I would be disgussed knowing that I am eating an insect, even if the product of an insect in particular meaning honey is welcomed but this is an exception.
I also wish to advise that early next year the US FDA will implement a law instructing all products of any kind to mention if the additif E120 is of cochineal origin
