Who is doing what

When I read history, I often see a conflict of interest between the state and the merchant.
The merchant continually rises to such great power that it threatens the states power.
Then the state takes back the power & and the cycle starts all over again.
When we on this forum speak of Russia, USA, EU & their desires & influence, I many times think we have missed speaking of a 3rd group that is invisible but wields great power & has an agenda that cares NOT one bit about any of the above mentioned countries but actually has an agenda that is separate from all the other countries in the world.
I also feel this 3rd party that attempts (successfully) to manipulate world situations is even more incideous than all the self centered ....
I think there is more at play here than what we talk about.

Armenian Studies Program presents
Berj H. Haidostian Annual Distinguished LectureProf. Marie-Aude Baronian
to speak on visual representations within the Armenian diaspora

The University of Michigan's Armenian Studies Program is pleased to
announce that Marie-Aude Baronian will deliver the 2014 Berj H. Haidostian
Annual Distinguished Lecture, titled "Missing Images: Textures of Memory in
Diaspora." Baronian is the 2014 Manoogian Visiting Professor at the
University of Michigan and an associate professor in film and visual
culture at the University of Amsterdam. Her research focuses on various
topics such as visual culture in the Armenian diaspora, ethics and
aesthetics, archive, memory, and French thought. Her most recent books
are Mémoire
et Image. Regards sur la Catastrophe arménienne (2013) and Cinéma et
Mémoire. Sur Atom Egoyan (2013). In the lecture, she will consider the
relationship between images--particularly film--and memory in the context of
the Armenian diaspora and the 1915 genocide.

The Haidostian Annual Distinguished lectureship was established by the
family of the late Dr. Berj Haidostian, a prominent and devoted physician
in Michigan. The Haidostian family has a long and continuing relationship
with the University of Michigan and the Armenian Studies Program. Every
year, together with the Armenian Studies Program faculty they select a
speaker from among internationally recognized experts on Armenia and
Armenians. Recent Haidostian Distinguished Lecturers have included renowned
playwright, novelist, and actor Eric Bogosian; famous director Atom Egoyan;
Dr. Gerard Chaliand of Paris; Dr. Fiona Hill of the Brookings Institution;
Mr. Thomas de Waal of the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace; and
Dr. Vartan Gregorian of the Carnegie Foundation.

The lecture is open to the public and will be followed by a question and
answer period, and will also be video recorded and posted on our website at

Former general of USA army as well as former CIA director David petraeus is now yea d of kkr global institute (an investment co.)
Petraeus will be attending the bilderburg conference.
If you look at the previous 40 years and who heads the USA agriculture dept, you will see a revolving door going from mega agriculture companies to top dog at USA agriculture dept.
The petraeus move like the agriculture moves are part and parcel with the laughable democracy now being presented to the public.

If the individual or collective does not put the machanations of this group into the equation, then we are not going to advance or solve the problems confronting us.
If we endeavor to have a more just and equitable conduct while letting criminals go about their activities unfettered, then we shall not attain rightness.
To think the billionairs of the world are concerned for the oppressed is ludicrous.
To think this group and their ilk does not weld tremendous manipulative power is again, ludicrous .
Gangsters is an appropriate term.
