Re: Brazil Olypics
The International Weightlifting Federation has declared that as a consequence of the IOC’s reanalyses of samples from the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games (IOC – wave 2), the samples of a number of athletes have returned Adverse Analytical Findings.
Gold medal winner in the 85kg weight category Andrey Ribakov of Belarus is among the athletes that failed the doping test. That means Armenia’s Tigran Martirosyan, who had won a bronze medal at Beijing Olympics, will now get the silver.
Martirosyan had lifted a combined 380 kg (177+203).

Re: Brazil Olypics
Yes I think the results were pretty good for such a small country. We did way better then India which is very shameful for India. If things had gone a little bit our way we would have had more medals but still we did well.Originally posted by MrHyeSev View PostGoodjob Team Armenia

That attitude represents the dominant majority.
How many Armenians now live in their ancient homeland that the tatar turc (azer) now occupy? And what befell them?
Grossly misplaced hope.

Re: Brazil Olypics
Gold Medalist Artur Aleksanyan took a moment to honor Artsakh heroes, paying respects to 19-year-old NKR Defense Army Junior Sergeant Robert Abajyan, who posthumously received the Republic's highest honor - the "Hero of Artsakh" medal - for bravery during the April 2-6 Azerbaijani onslaught.
On April 2nd, young Abajyan found himself alone on Artsakh's northeastern front, with Azerbaijani special forces about to overrun his post. Feigning surrender, Abajyan pulled out a grenade, sacrificing himself, killing enemy attackers, and thereby holding the line until reinforcements arrived.
