- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)

- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • Week 4: NFL Preview. Oct 1- Oct 2.06.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Indianapolis at NY Jets
Peyton Manning and Marvin Harrison lead the Indianapolis Colts into Giants Stadium to face the New York Jets in Week 4 of the NFL season. The Colts biggest challenge this season is replacing All-Pro running back Edgerrin James, who signed as a free agent with the Arizona Cardinals. With Manning and Harrison leading the Colts powerful passing attack, Indianapolis looks like the early sportsbook favorite to win the AFC South Division. Look for the Colts to be sportsbook favorites for NFL bettors over the Jets on the road.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    New Orleans at Carolina
Rookie sensation Reggie Bush and the New Orleans Saints face a stiff challenge in Week 4 of the NFL season when they travel to Bank of America Stadium to face the tough defense of the Carolina Panthers. With a stingy defense and a steady passing attack led by QB Jake Delhomme and WR Steve Smith, assuming he's healthy, the Panthers are many sportsbooks’ favorites to win the NFC South division title. Even with the addition of the explosive Bush, New Orleans is in rebuilding mode, and is many sportsbooks’ favorites to finish last in the NFC South. Look for Carolina to be huge favorites at home when considering your NFL wagers.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Minnesota at Buffalo
The Buffalo Bills host the Minnesota Vikings in Ralph Wilson Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 1. New Bills QB J.P. Losman will face a tough challenge from a revamped Vikings defense which likes to put a lot of pressure on the opposing quarterbacks. Many sports betting fans believe that Minnesota can challenge Chicago for the NFC North division title, while most betting fans predict another last place finish for the Bills. Minnesota should be the sportsbook favorite to win this matchup.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Arizona at Atlanta
Kurt Warner leads the high powered Arizona Cardinals into the Georgia Dome on Sunday, Oct. 1st to battle Michael Vick and the Atlanta Falcons. The offseason acquisition of RB Edgerrin James gives the Cardinals a powerful ground game to complement their dangerous passing attack, led by QB Warner, WR Larry Fitzgerald and WR Anquan Boldin. With such a balanced offensive attack, many NFL betting fans are predicting the Cardinals can challenge Seattle for the NFC West crown. The Falcons are still tweaking their offensive game plan, trying to find a scheme that can work with Vick’s unique talents. Arizona has too much firepower for the Falcons and should be sportsbook favorites in this game.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    San Diego at Baltimore
LaDanian Tomlinson and the San Diego Chargers travel to M&T Bank Stadium on Sunday, Oct. 1st to face the Baltimore Ravens. If new starting QB Philip Rivers can step up and produce, many sportsbooks believe the Chargers can contend for the division title in the tough AFC West division. The Ravens are hoping new starting QB Steve McNair can add some energy to the Ravens passing attack, which has been mediocre the past few years. Because they are playing at home, the Ravens should be slight betting favorites to beat the Chargers.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Miami at Houston
David Carr and the Houston Texans host the Miami Dolphins in a Week 4 matchup at Reliant Stadium. Head coach Gary Kubiak is looking to open up the Texans’ offensive attack and provide Carr with more opportunities to make big plays. Miami is looking to new starting QB Daunte Culpepper to energize its passing game, while RB Ronnie Brown has looked very impressive in his early starts in the backfield. Many sportsbooks are predicting that Miami will challenge New England for the AFC East division title, and the Dolphins should be NFL betting favorites to defeat Houston.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    San Francisco at Kansas City
QB Alex Smith and the San Francisco 49ers visit Arrowhead Stadium in Week 4 of the NFL schedule to square off with the Kansas City Chiefs and star RB Larry Johnson. Johnson ran for 1,750 yards in 2005, and will be difficult for the 49ers defense to contain. Smith has made progress since his rough rookie season, and has some more weapons on offense to utilize, including rookie TE Vernon Davis. However, the Niners still have many holes to shore up and will be many sportsbooks’ favorites to finish last in the NFC West. Kansas City is many NFL betting fans’ choice to win the AFC West division and it will be the solid sportsbook favorites to beat San Francisco even without an injured Trent Green.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Dallas at Tennessee
Drew Bledsoe, Terrell Owens and the Dallas Cowboys travel to LP Field to face the Tennessee Titans on Sunday, Oct. 1. Many sportsbooks have the Cowboys listed as the favorites to win the NFC East division, but that all depends on how well T.O. integrates himself into the Cowboys locker room. Many NFL betting fans are leery of putting any money down on the Cowboys due to Owens’ history of being a distraction. Tennessee is projected by many sportsbooks to finish last in the AFC South division, and the Titans will be sportsbook underdogs against the Cowboys at home.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Detroit at St. Louis
The St. Louis Rams host the Detroit Lions in a Week 4 matchup at the Edward Jones Dome. Rams RB Steven Jackson has taken over the No. 1 running back slot from the injured Marshall Faulk and could be poised for a break-out year. Rams WR Torry Holt, Isaac Bruce and Kevin Curtis are all capable of putting up huge numbers in the Rams high-octane passing attack. Detroit finally gave up on Joey Harrington at quarterback and brought in veteran Jon Kitna to lead the offense. St. Louis is the favorite of many NFL betting fans to challenge for a wild-card playoff position, and the Rams should be solid sportsbook favorites to beat the Lions at home.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Jacksonville at Washington
Byron Leftwich and the Jacksonville Jaguars travel to FedEx Field to face the Washington Redskins. The Redskins passing attack is led by ex-Jag QB Mark Brunell and WR Santana Moss, while stud RB Clinton Portis is one of the league’s best rushers. Many sportsbooks believe Jacksonville can challenge Indianapolis for the AFC South title, while the Redskins should be in the hunt for the NFC East crown. Look for the Redskins to be NFL betting favorites at home.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Cleveland at Oakland
The Oakland Raiders and new starting QB Aaron Brooks host the Cleveland Browns at Network Associates Coliseum on Sunday, Oct. 1. Oakland is hoping that Brooks can provide the deep passes that All-Pro WR Randy Moss thrives on, which may not be a good bet. Both the Raiders and Browns are projected by most sportsbooks to finish last in their respective divisions, so this game could get ugly in a hurry. Look for the Raiders to be sportsbook favorites at home.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    New England at Cincinnati
Tom Brady leads the New England Patriots into Paul Brown Stadium to face the Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday, Oct. 1. This could easily be an AFC Championship Game preview as well as a showdown for NFL MVP between Brady and Bengals QB Carson Palmer, who appears fully healed from last season's devastating knee injury. The Bengals likely will be sportsbook favorites here because of the superiority at receiver and homefield advantage. However, NFL bettors should beware that Brady always plays well in the big games, as evidenced by all those Super Bowl rings. Look for the ground games to determine the winner when wagering on this stellar matchup.

    Sunday, Oct. 1
    Seattle at Chicago
In what could be the premier matchup of Week 4, the defending AFC champion Seattle Seahawks travel to Chicago to face the Bears at Soldier Field. Seahawks running back Shaun Alexander will face a stiff challenge from the stingy Bears defense, and QB Matt Hasselbeck will need to handle the Bears pressure defense effectively for Seattle to win. The Bears are many sportsbooks’ favorites to win the NFC North title, while the Seahawks are solid NFL betting favorites to win the NFC West. Because the game is being played in Chicago, look for the Bears to be sportsbook favorites in this game.

    Monday, Oct. 2
    Monday Night Football:
    Green Bay at Philadelphia
Donovan McNabb and the Philadelphia Eagles will face off with Brett Favre and the Green Bay Packers in the Week 4 Monday night matchup at Lincoln Financial Field. Favre has looked very shaky so far this season, and many NFL betting fans are wondering why he didn’t retire last year. The Eagles are looking to move past the Terrell Owens fiasco and are projected by many sportsbooks to challenge for the tight NFC East division title. Philadelphia will be solid sportsbook favorites to win this matchup..
