She's a beaut. But what kind of image is that, doesn't look like a satellite photo?

but the sky looks like it went through a program like 3D studio max??

"This image was generated from a Landsat satellite image draped over an elevation model produced by the Shuttle Radar Topography Mission (SRTM). The view uses a 1.25-times vertical exaggeration to enhance topographic expression. Natural colors of the scene are enhanced by image processing, inclusion of some infrared reflectance (as green) to highlight the vegetation pattern, and inclusion of shading of the elevation model to further highlight the topographic features."

I agree, the image does not look very artistic with the bad choice of colors. But I thought it was pretty cool that NASA made a tomography of Mount Ararat. :)

She is beautiful, although in reality she is perfect! Like looking at a picture hanging in the sky.

The flag was the first thing I thought of when I saw the blue sky. And I needed to find a way to make it fit my desktop better. So BAM! 5 minute photoshop job.

there is no greater joy then finally seeing Ararat in person, there is no greater sorrow then seeing the border before Ararat.


All in all it took my breath away. Just amazing, it seems so close, yet you know its so far.

I had the perfect view of Mount Ararat from my balcony in Armenia, on the 9th floor. What greater joy than to wake up to such a sight, and fall asleep to it.

As a child, I was obsessed with drawing Sis and Masis. I have so many pictures of them, that I've lost count. They are all in Armenia, at my house (I still have a house there, yay for me!)

Even one of my college essays was about Ararat and what it means to me. :D
