*thinking*: A-r-...

Yeah, okay, what does it MEAN? (Not the transliteration, the definition, please.)

կենթանաբնականպարտեզ

Hmmmm, and I thought "Asdvadz": "God" was going to be tricky.

why is it in the non-nomitative case?

vajarapetuhineric, rather than vajarapetuhiner. nways, does it mean saleswomen of finely ground sugar bowls. lol, wtf?

where you guys coming up with this stuff, and Tom how did you get that word without knowing the meaning?

  You got it ma man. With the "-nerits" ending, I guess it's "from saleswomen of finely ground sugar bowls"

Impressive Tommy! Let's see if tunot agrees.

I could only agree if it meant something, and since I can't for the life of me figure out what it means, and apparently neither can the rest of you, I would say it's merely a bunch of random words stuck together to form a new nonsense word. Hence, it's not actually that impressive, and certainly is NOT the longest Armenian sensical word.

vajarapetuhineric, rather than vajarapetuhiner.

Makes it seem longer. ;) Though I wonder whether it's acceptable morphologically. Armenian does have some strict rules as to which words can be combined and how, and which can't.

Make h.yeforum out of xxx.

Note from loseyourname: Sorry, tried to get around the word filter to get a working link, but failed.

Why the hell is it censored?

For a second I thought the word hye had been put on the censored list.

OMG is plagiarism.

Don't mess with me. My memory is too sharp. Though I forgot Harut had made up that first one.. I did remember Sip's though. Hence looked it up.. Also curious to know what else we came up with at the time.

It is not plagiarism nor is it made up. It is not exclusive to another member on xxxxxxxx.

Where did you get it from then? I somehow doubt Harut got it from somewhere other than his own brain, but I guess we'll never know since plagiarism seems to be a trend among Armenians.

Another thread on xxxxxxxx which might be interesting (before it's plagiarized as well!):

Blargh. I'll tell you where I got it from, but not in this thread or publicly.

Slander also seems to be a trend among Armenians, or just ones who post on ArmenianClub with the username tunot. I remember you barking at some Armenian webmaster for "plagiarizing" "your" short story by Raffi.

tunot
07-08-2006, 01:21 AM
And "Sov" was plagiarized. Very clearly so. It's been done before. So where did you get that word from?

everything is censored here

gentana penagan bardez

i love that one, a simple 3 letter word has 8 syllabols in armenian :)

By the way I was joking about "plagiarism". I heard my "word" for example from a relative many many many years ago (I was probably 8 or 9 years old). Who knows where she got if from. :D

TomServo

I know, right?

tunot

You know where you got it from.

But I am curious now to know where Harut got it from! Because if he made it up, then we know for sure where it all originated.

I'm innocent, I swear!

What's my punishment if this guy really did make it up? Writing the word 100 times on the blackboard?

Why are we still talking about this? Did you not explain to me where you got the word from in private (like that REALLY needed privacy!). You may repeat it here in public. Don't worry, I'll make sure you don't get bullied for telling the truth. You may also post my replies, if you wish, and why I was suspicious to begin with.

Karo: I'm not surprised at your reaction. Instead of supporting thieves, you should be supporting honesty. But I don't blame you. If I had grown up in Armenia, there would have been 99% chance for me to be a liar. Feel free to search H.yeforum on this topic. If you dare: post it left and right, and preferably above your bed.

tunot, dear, I guess I'm a dupe of the liars. I'm gonna go hang myself now.

But really, stop taking yourself so seriously. It makes you: a) incapable of seeing the bigger picture, b) seem like a sour puss.

The bigger picture is that our nation is run by thieves and liars, beginning from the bottom all the way to the top. You happy about that?

Now. This thread and that word is not something I care about. It's just surprising that after I post a link, all of a sudden everyone gets defensive.

As for that thieving webmaster, reread what I wrote at the time. If you continue to agree with her, then that only means that you still don't get what I wrote and you still don't see the essence of reference. Perhaps when you decide to get yourself educated, you may find out why footnotes and bibliographies are so crucial.

What the hell is wrong with you? Is there ever a point when you are not arguing with someone or trying to belittle them for disagreeing? Why are you constantly in a pissed off mood? And why are you throwing stupid and baseless accusations of plagiarism when you don't have a shred of evidence to back it up other than your own sense of what you think it was. You sure do make alot of friends. Shat darr@ bnavorutyun unes. Unfortunately, I have had enough of your demeanor.

This thread has lost its meaning. What TomServo started with good intentions has now warped again to another field day of insults. I am tired of this.
