What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

Can CSTO develope its own political will ?

Meaning for making more of its own political statments , press relises atc. just like NATO , but most importantly to have in its higher command and inteligent echelons people with vision and leadership .

My point is , can we see a new Praetorian Guard emerge from it ?

Of course the final and most important aspect and role will be to protect the collective interests ( if they be created among the members in the future (political will) ).

For now the CSTO is walking in same path of NATO aka. One or two political strong nations influence the the other members of it with or against their own interests ( American adventurism in ME ( middle east ) costed lifes of military personnel affected the economy with waves of constant and unreturnable waves of immigrants into the EU members and not only !.

I dont fancy such kind of "weak" alliance only to benefite " The one" of its members.

NATO has lost its role and its weaken alot ! We can see that into the reactions and the final outcomes of recent middle east uprisings , not only that but we saw serious disfunctions of its military members war machines ! ( the lack of missiles to hit Gaddafi forces by the european nato members and its immense costs.)

So for to avoid another failed NATO type alliance the CSTO should make politically and purely military command stuff that will act as a + plus member into the council meetings protecting itself and not relay on its own member states handouts .

Re: Can CSTO ( Collective Security Treaty Organization ) develope its own independent political will

I actually think this might be a very relevant thread now. I have been interested in the developments with CSTO

What I do not wish is for them to become similar to NATO. All talk, no walk.

CSTO needs to begin with Armenia, and use that as an example of its dedication to security for member states.

Instead of using CSTO to enforce Russian will on resource rich nations, it should be a strictly peacekeeping-military alliance.

CSTO has alot of potential, and can expand to include Iran and maybe other states.

CSTO summits should begin immediately if they want to be taken seriously, Kazakhstan should up conscription and begin working more with member states as it has been very quiet recently, and is the second largest power in CSTO with an enormous arsenal

CSTO is no obligated to assist in any forms of aggression any member state takes part in, unlike NATO, which is good.

CSTO can do good for post-Soviet nations and maybe even European ones. Rather than using CSTO as a way of raping innocent nations like America tends to do with NATO, CSTO can use itself as an example for future military alliances and stop interventionism from plaguing the world
