Dr. Raymond Damadian, the inventor of Magnetic
Resonance Imaging technology that has helped save
millions of lives worldwide, has been excluded -
against all the facts and a thoroughly documented
historical record - from this year's Nobel Prize for
Physiology or Medicine. The prize was instead
mistakenly granted to two other scientists who later
made technological improvements based on his
discovery. The controversy surrounding this issue
was the subject today of a full-page ad in the

Armenians in the United States, Armenia, and
throughout the world, have long held Dr. Damadian in
high regard for his tremendous contributions to the
medical field as well as his devotion to his Armenian
