YEREVAN (Armenpress)--A poster for the Armenian Environmental Protection Ministry won the first place prize in an international competition marking the 20th anniversary of the Montreal Protocol, an international agreement on reducing substances that deplete the ozone layer.
The Armenian National Ozone Protection Center, an affiliate of the ministry, designed the poster and received a $500 award and congradulatory letter of appreciation from the United Nations Development Program.
Asya Muradian, a program coordinator with the Ozone Protection Center, said the money was allocated to the purchasing of home appliances for an orphanage in the town of Gavar.
