YEREVAN (Armenpress)-In order to overcome the tense political situation in Armenia, both the authorities and opposition must be willing to make compromises, UCLA Professor of Armenian and Near Eastern History Richard Hovannisian told reporters in Yerevan on Friday.
"It is necessary to stop blaming each other, what happened on March 1 is a tragedy, and are all are responsible for it," he said. "We let it happen."
The Armenian citizen must feel secure in his country. He must feel satisfied and know that he is not ignored.
"The state must undertake serious steps in that direction, implementing a just economic policy," he said.
