Fuel and grain shortages reported in RA.
Armenia was grappling with its worst fuel shortages since the early 1990s on Monday despite the reported reopening of Georgia’s east-west railway that serves as the main supply line of the two South Caucasus states.

Re: Conflicting reports re: Armenian supply line
Reports of fuel shortages in RA due to South Ossetia conflict relate back to August 12, 2008. http://www.redorbit.com/news/busines...ssetia_crisis/
Armenian-Georgia railway reportedly back up and running, ten railcars crossed Georgian-Armenian border carrying petrol. http://www.azg.am/EN/2008082702
But, first railcars did not carry any petrol, just grain and basic supplies. http://www.armenialiberty.org/armeni...FAEE4A0486.ASPBetween childhood, boyhood,

Re: Conflicting reports re: Armenian supply line
Hey, there's a fuel shortage. http://armenianow.com/?action=viewAr...D=1201&lng=eng
"the worst fuel crisis in Armenia since the early 1990s, petrol was either available at an extremely high price or sold to privileged customers as in old Soviet times, or alternatively sold in a rationed fashion to holders of prepaid vouchers – maximum 10 liters per vehicle. The regular price of 410-440 drams (about $ 1.36 – 1.46) per liter raised up to price of 500-700 drams (about $ 1.65-2.30) per liter those days.
All along, state structures had insisted that there was no problem connected with petrol in the country."Between childhood, boyhood,
