    Great thread.
    "All truth passes through three stages:
    First, it is ridiculed;
    Second, it is violently opposed; and
    Third, it is accepted as self-evident."

            What we have done in the past is nothing short of valor but truly we gotta stop this practice of spilling blood for our host country as Diasporans. Can you imagine Armenians coming against each other (not knowingly) on the battlefields of the future, yet again? Iran/Iraq war was a good example.
            Sometimes we have no choice, it is the price we pay as Armenians.

            Not to fear though....................Armenians will stand as long as the twin peaks of Mt Ararat stand. The blood of our Fedayees runs thick.

              There were 20 000 fighting with the United States Army and 20 000 fighting with the Wehrmacht. I don't know of their casualty figures though.

                Just as a very small example I remember reading somewhere long time ago that there were some like 400 Armenian students in this one French University that volunteered to join the Allies forces.............by the end of the war only twenty survived.

                We are who we are.

                  I totally agree Eddo jan; I mean indeed their valor it stands high of course; but alas that it wasn't for our lands, for our country's behalf. But then again I was and am so proud of our Artsaxian heroes and Fedayis. They fought long and good. They makes us proud those Gharapaghtsis! Oh yeah Eddo jan, and if they try to get Naxichevan this time I'll be another Sose Mayrig to go and fight for our lands. And you promised that you'll come and stand behind me to defend so the enemy won't dare to attack, right?

                    Well at least today though Russia supports Armenia so though you suffered horrific sacrifice in another nations name, at least the nation you suffered for helps protect you and Karabakh* from Azerbaijan and Turkish conquest or genocide today.

                    *Russia doesn't really help there really I know...but I don't think Russia would let it fall into Turkish or Azeri hands
