    Re: Mind Olympics

Saco, I wouldn't expect you to say such a thing. I don't think those folks ever lived in Armenia. Republic of Turkey is not only ethnic Turks', but also those children's country.
Yeah, but their Armenians. I didn't mean to offend anyone kardesh, just look at it from our perspective. An Armenian representing Turkey. It's something else seeing an Armenian represent say Sweden and it's something else seeing him/her represent Turkey. It just doesn't feel right. Imagine seeing a Turk represent Armenia, I don't think the Turks would feel all that great.

They are not being exploited or something, just representing themselves and their country.
Turkey is not their country ... they just live there. And I'm not saying they are being exploited. Did I ever say that?

I may understand you (though I disagree) if you want all Armenians to live in Armenia. But above statements are groundless.
I'm not saying all Armenians should live here (it be good to have more of them here though). I'm just saying they shouldn't be representing Turkey, especially right now. But remember that I said I don't blame them. They don't really have a choice. It's a school thing.

As long as they are not being exploited its ok.And they beat 16 other schools to earn their spot, that should be applauded (especially considering its in Turkey).
