What is not understandable is all the fuss made in western media regarding pro-Moussavi protests and rallies, some even label it as "colour revolution" while Moussavi himself is just a moderate conservative faithful to the regime which means Iran's foreign policy may only have a slight change with his as President...

NKR President congratulates Ahmadinejad on victory


President of the Nagorno Karabakh Republic Bako Sahakyan congratulated the President of the Islamic Republic of Iran, Mahmoud Ahmadinejan on re-election. The message reads:

Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei today branded the British government the 'most treacherous' in the world as he addressed followers for the first time since the country's disputed election.

The cleric used Friday prayers to make his extraordinary attack. After he spoke, thousands of supporters who had packed a hall at Tehran University chanted: 'Death to the UK, America and Israel'.

It follows the British Ambassador to Tehran being summoned to the Iranian Foreign Ministry earlier this week after Gordon Brown and David Miliband made 'interfering and rude' comments about the election....

What idiots...I mean that's what Israeli extreme nationalists want them to say, the 'wipe Israel off the map' is now a reality. All Bush needed for the war on Iraq was a thousand dead, what Israel needs to rid itself of the Palestinians (aka ethnic cleanse all Palestinians) is hate speech from Iran. I mean what has this hate speech done? Nothing except inflame tensions even more.

As for the election I think its a sign of a split in Iranian politics, I think eventually Ahmadinejad will get back in, but not without a very bloody nose. It is clear that the opposition won't let it go.

But did Ahmadinejad really have to rig the election so blatantly....I mean virtually equal results (basically 35% everywhere) in every district, even the one where the opposition leader lives...that's vote rigging. That's where the anger is coming from. I think Ahmadinejad and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei were a very bad judge of their own people, and if the chaos right now is anything to go by its their own fault. I think had they vote rigged the elections so (or just given the actual results) that Ahmadinejad had just barely got in there would have been no chaos like there is now.
