Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

  • ANCA's Letter to Clinton...

Obama has become worse than Bush. He is a devil in disguise. It's very demoralyzing for Armenia's and Artsakh's future. Armenians in the Diaspora along with our brothers in the homeland have to get-together against this selfish bummish unethical and demoral world! We simply have to stand together to preserve both our nations!

Can you imagine this guy's puppety behaviour to both the turks and Israel?

ANCA sites President Obama's responsibility for court ruling against Genocide-era claims.

look it doesn't matter who is president. All do the same, because it is not the United States of America, but United states of Israel. and of course with that comes america's gay love on turkey.

Anoush, I fear there is worse to come.
The cherry on the cake for them will be when Serz Sakissyan and Gul will be nominated for the Nobel peace prize.

Then we should not feel bad since we will have a Nobel prize winner president.

Its about self interest at personal and national level often at odds with the above.

I am afraid so KanadaHye and Londontsi. I don't see anything good or positive coming out of this hellish protocols for the sake of our homeland and for Artsakh. Who the hell cares about Nobel Prize if in the end we will lose our dignity, our anscestar's memory is smashed into pieaces after 94 years, theirs and our rights of our anscestral lands or the very hope of it is forever demolished, our little Armenia will be walked all over again by our Mongol turkic land snatching, land stealing enemy along with their barbaric cousins the "azeris", and although Artsakh was ours for thousands of years and we recently won the war; they will be taken away by those barbaric turks and "azeris" for once and for all. Leaving us Armenians with no land whatsoever. My sweet dear mother until her last days used to read the Armenian papers and she was so worried and afraid about all of this as well as I. I simply don't know what to say other than I wish that unArmenian Sargsyan was never born to be the president of Armenia. Sargsyan for sure will once again go through history as being the descendent of our "Nakharars" who sold their lands to our enemies for pieces of cheap silver.

Your getting ahead of yourself there, no one is selling anything let alone for a cheap piece of silver. Both Sarksyan and Kocharian fought for kharabagh, they put their lives on the line for her which is more then can be said for the majority of diasporans who today call them traders yet have never taken a single step in Armenia or kharabagh. Stop bashing the people who are actually trying to do something constructive and do something useful yourself.

Both Sarksyan and Kocharian fought as generals yes but not on the front lines like Monte did, yet Kocharian did not agree to the same protocols that the turks asked him to sign for eight years, nor did Levon Der Bedrossian. Yet Sarksyan is about to do it very unfortunately. You're saying I am bashing; but I am saying white to the white picture and black to the black picture, in other words I am speaking the truth. You can say to me whatever you wish, it doesn't matter to me, I am more frightened for the survival of our lands at this time than your meaningless words. The same protocols have been suggested to Armenia since 1991; but the first two presidents kept turning them down to the turks. This "Vasak" traitor Sargsyan has plans to sign it in total agreement with our enemy. You keep saying it time and time again that I am here in the Diaspora as well as many here who are opposing to the deadly protocols. It doesn't matter where I or most of us are sitting, the main thing is that our logic tells us this is not the right thing to do; but the very wrong thing for the continuation of both our lands and the future of Armenia and Artsakh.

I don't think it's logic thats telling you that sweety, i think its more your emotions. LTP got thrown out by Kocharian and Serj because he was going to conseed kharabagh thus these guys are not traitors, if it wasnt for them there would not be armenians in kharabagh today. People forget this and many other facts while they color everything black and white. The big difference between the diaspora and those in Armenia is that if your logic is wrong you will see them suffer while you continue living your life. Change this equation and all of a sudden what they do will start to make sence to you as well.
