Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

      Here is a list of all the government that are aware of what is going on in Afghanistan (we, the dumb public are not allowed to be exposed to such critical information like what the mission in Afghanistan is really about and why there is an increase of Opium production due to the new American supported regime)

      Here is a list of NATO countries and the number of military personnel they have deployed in Afghanistan (in October 2006):

      * Belgium, 300, whose main task is to secure the airport at Kabul;

      * Bulgaria, 150, in 2007, Bulgaria plans to send 200 more soldiers;

      * Canada, 2500, 44 have died;

      * Denmark, 389, three have died;

      * Estonia, 79, Estonia plans to increase this force to 120;

      * France, 1700, French forces are deployed in Kabul, nine French soldiers have been killed since the start of the mission;

      * Germany, 3000, German forces are deployed in the north, 18 German soldiers have died since the start of the mission, the German mandate does not allow German troops to be used in the south and east in fighting against the Taliban insurgency;

      * Greece, 171;

      * Hungary, 159;

      * Iceland, 20;

      * Italy, 1800, nine have died during the mission;

      * Latvia, nine;

      * Lithuania, 115;

      * Luxembourg, 10;

      * Netherlands, 1907, Netherlands forces have been deployed in various missions including some operations in the south, four soldiers have died;

      * Norway, 450, one has died;

      * Poland 100, Poland plans to send an additional 1200 troops;

      * Portugal, 156, one has died;

      * Romania, 72, four have died, Romania plans to send an additional battalion;

      * Slovakia, 57;

      * Slovenia, 49;

      * Spain, 800, 18 died in a helicopter crash in 2005, 62 died in a plane crash in Turkey in 2003 en route to Spain, one other soldier was killed;

      * Turkey, 825;

      * United Kingdom, 5,800, 44 have died;

      So if there is an INCREASE in Opium production which benefits DRUG LORDS, who do you think is supporting these "underground" operations?

        oh come on, lol, so the reason the West got into afghanistan is for the opium? If that's case, why do these countries have enforcement to crack down on drug dealing?

          They don't like others to profit from it. You think governments are clean? lol

          Imagine if drugs were legal, anyone would be able to grow them and nobody would profit. Problem solved.

            One of the long list of reasons. I'll tell you which reason is not one of them though: humanitarian aid to Afghanis. Love or hate the Taliban, they almost completely eradicated the Afghan drug trade based on religious grounds.

              never said governments are clean, but I think it's over the top to say that the West has put all that resources in fighting the Afghan war, just for some drug trade. And also blaming Europeans for the world's drug problems. (like Europeans are the only ones that use drugs)

                Well they were good only in that respect. My views for the Afghan War is for the NATO to diminish influence of Taliban/al-qaeda, but also creating a foothold in this area by creating an approved government.

                  America was founded on Tobacco. Do you have any idea what kind of a profit a simple thing like the cigarette makes? People sit in school for 30-40 years to become a professional of some sort and are in debt till they die meanwhile something as simple as growing a plant and rolling it in paper makes billions. Granted opium isn't the only reason for the "mission" in Afghanistan but it's a rather nice bargaining chip for propping up a corrupt government.

                    I know the importance of such crops, but my point was you can't blame a continent for all the world's drug problems. Drugs is a worldwide problem - and all sensible nations (including European) try to crack down on such drug trade.
