YEREVAN. – Armenian soap opera actress Anzhela Sargsyan’s “man,” Karen Arayan, who is accused of disseminating the actress’ pornographic-nature photos, was detained on Wednesday evening, Police Force Press Service informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.
Arayan is charged with illegal collection, storage, usage, or dissemination of information on personal or family life, and with illegal distribution of pornographic material, or objects. On September 17, experts from the Armenian Culture Ministry’s “Examination of Cultural Values” organization had concluded that these photos, which were posted in the Internet, are of pornographic nature. And according to publications in the press, Sargsyan’s ex-boyfriend Karen Arayan had posted these photos.Anzhela Sargsyan became popular after her roles in the soap opera “Where is My Man?” (Armenian version of “Sex and the City”) and “The Normal Serial” (Armenian version of “Two and a Half Men”).This development had brought forth a huge social reaction, as Sargsyan was married during her relationship with Arayan, and, once the photos were posted on the Internet, her co-actresses in “Where is My Man?” refused to act with her.
