Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

Aliev Vows To ‘Fight’ Armenian Diaspora

Azerbaijan's President Ilham Aliev announced Tuesday a campaign to counter the influence of the Armenian diaspora.

Aliev said his oil-rich ex-Soviet republic was opening embassies and consulates in parts of the world where the Armenian diaspora was especially influential.

"It's no secret that California is a state with a large Armenian population. We opened a consulate general (in Los Angeles) to be there and to fight the Armenian lobby," Aliev said in an interview with Arabic network Al-Jazeera, a transcript of which was published by Azerbaijan's state news agency Azertaj.

Aliev said his country planned to open an embassy in Argentina, where the Armenian lobby "is strongest among Latin American nations." "One might ask, 'Why open an embassy in a country with which we have no serious links.' But we're opening an embassy to fight the Armenian lobby on its own turf," Aliev said.

Azerbaijan and Armenia have been locked in a territorial dispute over the Nagorno-Karabakh ethnic-Armenian enclave since before the break-up of the Soviet Union. Azerbaijan lost control of the territory and seven surrounding regions during a war in the early 1990s, but Karabakh's status has yet to be settled. Diaspora Armenians are key to financing the rebel government controlling the enclave. The world-wide Armenian diaspora has numbered in the millions since Armenians were forced out of Ottoman Turkey in a series of massacres and forced marches during World War I.

Aliev said Azerbaijan's new oil wealth gave it a chance to outweigh ethnic-Armenians' influence abroad. "What is attractive about Armenia...? Only the fact that it has a rich diaspora that influences the policies of various countries," Aliev said. "Azerbaijan is a country that will supply Europe and world markets with energy resources. Imagine Azerbaijan on one side of the scale and Armenia on the other."

He knows he won't win on the battlefield so he's trying his hand at political influence...he will lose here too.

Damn, if the turds can't change things in their favor in Europe despite contributing the largest army to NATO, despite having such a perfect geopolitical position and despite their hired Zionist help, do Azeri peasants really think they can succeed.

I feel that these are the good days for armenians who should enjoy their position as much as possible in international politics because this situation could not last longer......

Turks need to understand that the Armenian agenda against them is all but unstoppable.
Never before in modern history had Armenia been in such control of its own destiny. Armenia now has a homogenous state which acts as a stonghold to bring us back to heath after centuries of collective illness suffered from subjugation and fear. Most importantly, Armenia now has a professional warrior class that is more than capable at defending the country from the Turkic threats. This situation is fostering a situation where Armenia has a international voice...and this voice, much to the Turkish chagrin, is being heard loud and clear.
In short, Armenia (in just 15 years) is inow in a strong and unpresedented position. This position, along with the diasporan support, will make the coming years very painful for our Turkic enemies.

                    This guy Aliev is screwed.
The Azeris have politicized and created such propoganda about Artsak. If Aliev makes a deal granting concessions then he loses face and maybe gets sacked. He goes to war then he risks losing and suffering the fate of his predecessor. I think deep down inside everyone knows this. Works out great for the Armenian side. Maintain the status quo. Intead of giving "back" lands(which I don't get, how do you give back what was always yours?). So now Aliev is trying a different tactic. Blame those damn Armenians in the diaspora!
