Hayastan never again should become Comunist. Lenin give away our lands, he give away our holy mountain, he give away land that our men have died fore. And he give it all away to our greatest enemy The turks so comunism doesn't belong in Hayastan or they will give away the rest of our lands

I dare you to make the same criminal statement about the ruling administration here in the United States.

Bravo Armsurvival, in my opinion, your comments below were by far the best commentary. The nature of communism in Armenia cannot be properly described in a single sentence nor can it be said that communism was "totally bad" or "totally good" for Armenians. This topic, like many topics involving Armenians, is multi dimensional.

However, we must realize that Bolshevism/communism ruined the Russian Empire's anti-Turkish ambitions within Asia Minor, thereby hurting Armenia by allowing Armenians to be slaughtered by Turks in the absence of Russian forces from the scene. Having said that, communist Armenians did managed to safeguard Armenia's existence later on by partaking in the greater Bolshevik agenda. What's more, the surge of communism also became the 'catalyst' for Armenia's cultural/national rebirth, similar to the effect that the acceptance of Christianity had upon Armenian society, albeit on a much lesser scale.

Nevertheless, had the Bolshevik revolution never taken place, or totally defeated, the entire map of the Eurasian continent would have been drastically different today. Most Armenians fail to realize that Imperial Russian forces with Armenian help had advanced as far west as Van in 1916, and the gates to the interior of Turkey at the time were wide open and ready for the taking. Had there been no Bolshevik revolution we today most probably would not be lamenting the Armenian Genocide and the loss of Armenian lands. There would never have been a Hitler. And the Ameri-Joos would not be ruling over the civilized world today. Worst case scenario, however, would be us being part of the Russian Empire.

OK, enough with playing make belief. Whatever happened, happened. I'm just glad that under communism Armenians were able to protect the last remaining piece of Armenian land and turn Yerevan from a Azeri/Persian town of 35000 inhabitants (a minority of which were Armenians) into a metropolis of well over a million people - virtually all Armenian. And let's not forget all the scientists, leaders, scholars and artists that the system spawned.

          Thus, it's all relative.

All other political parties were banned, you couldn't talk about the genocide, doctors get paid the same as janitors, etc. Bolsheviks fought against the same Russian Empire which was helping us fight against the Ottomans, and our country collapsed as a result.

And how much of our land did the Soviets give away to our enemies? Karabagh, Nakhichevan, Kars, Ardahan, etc.

Thats not to say nothing good came from the Soviets. They turned an agrarian society into an industrialized one, repopulated Armenia, protected us from Turkey, and saved those suffering from famine in the early 1920's. However, all the people that Stalin killed through his policies, and all the Armenians lost due to fighting stupid wars for the Soviets is probably a similar number to those who would have died from famine.

And you could argue that if the Bolsheviks didn't make the Russian Empire collapse during WW1, we wouldnt need protection from Turkey in the present day.

Globalization is not something to be ''preached'', it is a reality. You either endorse it and and use it to your benefit, or you go against it and thus getting lost into oblivion.

And I am not a Bolshevik, you american.

                    Two mistakes in one sentence.

                    1) That is not the reality
                    2) There is no such thing such as soul

As I said, the problem with nationalists is that they are incapable of a correct analysis of the reality. If you don't know the reality, then you can't win your battles. They are useful idiots in a battle, but by no means should they be the decision makers.

Yeah, yeah, yeah... I have heard it before. You're like a street w-h-o-r-e talking. Sell yourself to the highest bidder. Its quite typical of your kind, you were taught well by your parents. Globalization, like international communism, will never work - its against human nature. Only twisted lowlives would accept a demonic concept like globalization. Thank God we are already seeing its decline. And just like you lost your Bolshevik security blanket, you will soon loose your Globalization.
