  • A different approach to the genocide?

Why do Armenians feel like getting Turkish recognition is the best approach to the genocide? Sure, there may be closure, but Turkish refusal and insults only aggravate the wound. Wouldn't it be better for Armenians to strive to be the best in fields of culture, media, finance, and political influence - so that Turkish refusal of recognition becomes almost impossible?

You make it sound as if striving for recognition (lets not for get repairations too) and pushing forward cultural, economic, political, etc are mutually exclusive.
The Armenian nation (in Armenia and the diaspora) is fully capable of doing both...Armenians ARE doing both.

Moreover, getting recognition can only expidite Armenia's progress in the fields you mentioned as it will help politically hamstring Turkey, who will always be enemy to Armenia.
