Last Friday about 25 Providence, RI Armenians confronted Congressman Wexler who was to speak at the Hillel House at Brown University during parent's weekend (his daughter goes there)
Anyway, we really blind-sided him.
As he was walking in he saw all the signs (see link below) and was promptly confronted by me.
I asked him forcefully and assertively:
Congressman, Why do you deny the Armenian Genocide?
No other congressman on the Foreign Relations committe denied exept you congressman - even the ones who voted NO...why congressman?
Where are your morals congressman?
How much are the Turks paying you congrssman?
etc...
At this point, he is cowereing, with an awkward smile on his face, saying nothing...then, his yenta wife comes up to me with her finger waving at me yelling "leave him alone! It's shabbat! Leave him alone".
Finally he walke indoors to the sound of jeers.
The whole scenario lasted a minute (a very long minute for Wexler) and it was so worth it.
Our crowd stayed at that site for about two hours handing out pamphlets lambasting Wexler's denialism to all those who came to hear him speak
He should expext more of this.
