Armenian groups have done very little to explain to the world that 'Azeri' is an artificial term invented in the 1930s

TIGHTENING SCREWS ON AZERBAIJAN'S ISLAMIZATION, RULING REGIME JUST SPEEDS UP THIS PROCESS

Tightening screws on Azerbaijan's Islamization, the ruling regime just
speeds up this process, said Gagik Haroutiunyan, Director of Noravank
Scientific Educational Foundation, in response to ArmInfo's question
after the seminar "Social networks in the context of post-democracy
and information security" held at the Foundation, Thursday.

"This process alongside with the growing aggressive and militarist
rhetoric addressed to Armenia and NKR is very dangerous for Azerbaijan
first of all. Such rhetoric aims to unite the public against the common
'enemy' at the same time radicalizing and Islamizing the people,
which may split Azerbaijan, in fact," he said.

Haroutiunyan believes that Baku spends big funds on anti-Armenian
propaganda and counteraction to the Islamic currents inside
Azerbaijan. In response, Yerevan makes asymmetrical but quite
      sufficient steps.

"They in Baku pay for everything and for keeping silence first of all,
which sometimes yields a reverse effect," he said.

For his part, Deputy Director of the Foundation Sevan Sarukhanyan
said that repeating the same theses and ideas learnt by heart leads
      to their final devaluation.

Therefore filling 85%-90% of the information space with information
directly or indirectly related to Karabakh is wrong and will yield
      a reserve effect.

It is noteworthy that in 2011 Norvank Foundation is expected to host
seminars related on energy security, anti-Armenian propaganda, and
      the Karabakh conflict.
