But during the cold war the forces were about even, or at least the opposing sides thought so. In this case israel is better equipped (or so it thinks) then Iran and has various forces within the american government on its side. The zionist cabel is trying to provoke more than intimidate.

On paper israel is better equiped, mainly because they have had their own military industrial complex from years, and continue to get discount weapons from the u.s. also they have deals with many european firms too. However, a war between israel and Iran would soon turn into an unconventional one, which is where the Iranian factor comes in, of course I am referring to Iran's contacts with hamas and hizbollah. Plus, one should take into consideration the oil factor, including an Iranian attempt to block the strait of hormuz.

I would expect Russia and China to indirectly support Iran, of course this would be based on how involved the u.s. was and who would be holding the upper hand at the time, not to mention the economic factors, both Russia and China have economic interests in Iran.
