Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or
services with which the poster is affiliated, whether or not a fee is charged
for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

8] These Rules & Guidelines may be amended at any time. (last update September 17, 2009)

If you believe an individual is repeatedly breaking the rules, please report to admin/moderator.

However, I think that the question asked by that child (as well as Sargsyan's vague answer) was elaborated prior to the event and was asked intentionally in order to bring up the issue and irritate the Turks.
But we should indeed be working to get back Western Armenia, along with Javakh and Naxijevan. Karabakh is only the begining. We cannot let innocence cost us the rest of our lands.

I think more doable than W. Armenia is getting a land link with Russia thru another war with azerbaijan. Of course it will be the azeris to re start the war, and once we win we can keep the land link.
For the first time in more than 600 years, Armenia is free and independent, and we are therefore obligated
to place our national interests ahead of our personal gains or aspirations.

Get a load of this. The AUDACITY of this article is off the charts.

Cut foreign aid to Armenia and other countries that work against United States

I am an American who is concerned about our debt and excessive spending, such as on foreign aid to nations that work against us and kill our soldiers. Since the Senate and House Appropriations committees are considering the FY2012 foreign aid bill, with the House Appropriations Committee set to vote on the bill on August 3, I would like to re-state my views on this as I did a few months ago when the FY2012 appropriations process just started.

We need to reduce spending by all means possible, especially to places that work against U.S., such as Armenia. It should get less aid, since it sold weapons to Iran and Iraq, which resulted in a U.S. soldier Matthew Straughter killed and 3 other U.S. soldiers wounded. Same goes for the Armenia-occupied Nagorno-Karabagh region, which should not get any aid at all — that's a total waste of money, especially considering that it is used for illegal drug and arms trade by Armenia and Iran. At the same time I urge to sustain funding to Azerbaijan, which is a steadfast ally helping U.S. interests in the region and the Muslim world.

We need to spend less, and spend wisely, helping only true friends, not rewarding hostiles. Foreign aid should be based on our national interests and be need-based. We should never send aid to illegal junta's like Nagorno-Karabagh regime, which only perpetuates war.

On top of sending an e-mail to the Baltimore Sun in general, one should be sent to this guy as well.

The Baltimore Sun welcomes submissions of op-ed articles of 650 to 750 words. Local topics and authors are preferred. Please send your submission to op-ed page editor Mike Cross-Barnet at [email protected] or by clicking here.

Most likely an Azeri or Turk this writer. Any "American" should know that US was funding their current enemies with money and lots of weapons. Much more American soldiers have died because of American weapons than any other most likely

Where was America when we were fighting Mujahadeen connected with al-Qaeda during Karabakh War? How about the fact that Armenia has around 100 troops in Afghanistan, has sent troops to Iraq, and Kosovo? I'm not saying Armenia is a US ally, but definetly is not an enemy. Though saying Azerbaijan is a US ally is laughable.

Would that "win" be like the sort of "win" you specialise in - i.e. starting an argument you can't win because you don't know the facts and don't care about knowing them, then loosing the argument, then throwing a tantrum (complete with racist insults), and then getting banned. I hope not.

You seem entirely clueless. The Armenian population of Nagorno-Karabagh did not start fighting to gain territory from Azerbaijan, and the NK republic does not exist to expand and occupy Azeri territory - it exists to safeguard its own territory and guarantee the survival of its own population. Nobody should wish for war or think a victory in a war is inevitable.

He just needs to be told that the Baltimore Sun should learn the difference between "news" and "letters with opinions" and "opinionated letters sent from crazies". It should properly distinguish and separate the first from the second, and make better efforts not to publish the third!

No, that kind of “win” would be the kind that we (Armenians) already proved. We have proved who are the BS’ers and who are the winners, and if it is necessary we are ready to prove it again.

I think the poster who has lost the most arguments and tucked his tail in between his legs is you. Multiple times you have been discredited and called out by posters here and yet you act as if you are the all knowing one.

No but they finished with liberating more of their territories, and if Azeris want to go at it again then what do you think is going to happen, until when are Armenians to tolerate this situation.

and the NK republic does not exist to expand and occupy Azeri territory.
President Sarkisian said powers of the State can reach beyond its territory......and those lands belong to Armenia and Iran, Turkic Azeris are the occupires.
