What does this mean?



The only way I see Armenia having any meaningful cooperation with Israel is if it becomes enemies with Azerbaijan.

AND not interfere in Armenian Iranian relationship, tall order.

Այսօր` հոկտեմբերի 28-ին, ժամը 12.00-13.00-ի սահմաններում, Երեւանի Էրեբունի օդանավակայանից ՀՀ Արտակարգ իրավիճակների նախարարության ներկայացուցիչները Իլ-76 ինքնաթիռով Թուրքիայի Էրզրում քաղաք կտեղափոխեն ՀՀ կառավարության աջակցությունը՝ 40 տոննա բեռ:

Այն իր մեջ ներառում է 100-ից ավելի վրաններ, 500 քնապարկ եւ 7000-ից ավելի անկողնային պարագաներ։

Հիշեցնենք, որ Հայաստանը հոկտեմբերի 27-ին, թուրքական Կարմիր մահիկի եւ Եվրաատլանտյան աղետների արձագանքման համակարգման կենտրոնի միջոցով ստացել է Թուրքիայի կառավարության օգնության պաշտոնական հայտը:

Ավելի վաղ NEWS.am-ը հայտնել էր, որ 7,2 մագնիտուդով երկրաշարժը տեղի է ունեցել Վանի նահանգում հոկտեմբերի 23-ին, տեղի ժամանակով 13։41-ին: Էպիկենտրոնը եղել է Վանից 38 կմ հյուսիս-արեւելք՝ Թաբանլը գյուղի մոտակայքում։

Ուժգին երկրաշարժից հետո դեռեւս շարունակվում են ցնցումները։ Վերջին 3 օրվա ընթացքում Վանի նահանգում գրանցվել է 600-ից ավել ցնցում։

An Armeno-Hebrew Mystery: Or, a 1,000-Year-Old Armenian Text in a Cairo Synagogue and the Stories It Tells

In the waning years of the nineteenth century a traveling scholar happened by chance on a store-room at the back of a Cairo synagogue filled to the ceiling with medieval manuscripts: letters, poems, sacred books, economic documents, etc., that could not simply be thrown away, because they employed the sacred Hebrew script. Like a fly trapped in amber, the documents of the Geniza (which literally means "treasure house") provide a vivid and detailed primary record of the life and letters of the Middle East in the centuries just after the beginning of the second millennium.

Among the items preserved in the Cairo Geniza is a short Armenian word list, with translation into Judeo-Arabic. Since the Armenian words are written out in Hebrew characters we know exactly how they were pronounced; and the curious selection of vocabulary invites one to speculate upon the occasion for which they might have been compiled. Both the Geniza record and Armenian sources enable us to recreate that context, and to enter, very briefly, a long lost world.

Perincek v. Switzerland Genocide denial lawsuit ongoing

PanARMENIAN.Net - A delegation of 160 people has gone to Switzerland to show support for the head of Turkey's Workers' Party, Dogu Perincek, who is on trial there for publicly denying Armenian Genocide.
The general leader of the Turkish Workers' Party, Perincek is on trial in Switzerland for negating Armenian Genocide during a 2005 demonstration in Lausanne, Hurriyet reported.
Having been convicted by a Swiss court of law for denial of Genocide, Perincek filed a return lawsuit against Switzerland with the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR).
ECHR addressed Turkey, requesting a case-related letter, which was sent today by Ankara.
The response of ECHR remains to be seen.

Sculptural portrait of Azerbaijan`s first lady – “Divine Muse, protectress of Azerbaijani Mugam” presented in Canada

A bust of the President of the Heydar Aliyev Foundation, UNESCO and ISESCO Goodwill Ambassador, MP Mrs. Mehriban Aliyeva has been presented in the picturesque city of Canada - Niagara on the Lake.

The Azerbaijani Culture and Art Days have recently been celebrated in Niagara as a part of the International Niagara Music Festival. The opening ceremony of the International Mugam Studio of Azerbaijan and exhibition of works by Azerbaijani sculptor Omar Eldarov was held in the Canadian city as well.

A member of the Canadian Parliament, Monte Kwinter, described Omar Eldarov`s sculptural portrait of Mehriban Aliyeva - “Divine Muse, protectress of Azerbaijani Mugam” as a “masterpiece of modern art”. The Azerbaijani sculptor`s work had been awarded the Grand Prix of the International Niagara Festival “for great skill and artistic excellence”.

The Azerbaijani singers performed in the Mugam Studio after the exhibition.

Participants of the Azerbaijani Culture and Art Days put flowers at the bust of the national leader Heydar Aliyev in the Memorial Hall of the Niagar Court House.

Azerbaijani Ambassador to Canada Farid Shafiyev, members of the Azerbaijani parliament Arif Rahimzade and Elmira Akhundova made their remarks and thanked organizers of the event.

Mayor of Niagara Gary Borrow expressed his wish for further expansion of cultural relations between Azerbaijan and Canada, adding he would spare no efforts towards popularizing Azerbaijani culture and music in Northern America.

MOSCOW. - Only 9 percent of Russians consider Armenia most reliable and successful country in the CIS.

All-Russian Public Opinion Research Center presented the results of the annual survey of which CIS countries Russians consider most reliable partners of their country.

According to Russians most reliable and successful country in the CIS is Kazakhstan – 34 percent. Second place went to Belarus – 31 percent. Ukraine is the third with 19 percent.

Then comes Armenia – 9 percent, Azerbaijan - 6 percent. Moldova and Turkmenistan drew sympathies of 5 percent of the respondents, Uzbekistan and Georgia – 3 percent each. Kyrgyzstan and Tajikistan close the list with 2 percent and 1 percent respectively.
