What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!

2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.
This includes, but not limited to, personal resumes and links to products or

for the product or service. Spamming, in which a user posts the same message repeatedly, is also prohibited.

7] We retain the right to remove any posts and/or Members for any reason, without prior notice.

- PLEASE READ -

Members are welcome to read posts and though we encourage your active participation in the forum, it is not required. If you do participate by posting, however, we expect that on the whole you contribute something to the forum. This means that the bulk of your posts should not be in "fun" threads (e.g. Ankap, Keep & Kill, This or That, etc.). Further, while occasionally it is appropriate to simply voice your agreement or approval, not all of your posts should be of this variety: "LOL Member213!" "I agree."
If it is evident that a member is simply posting for the sake of posting, they will be removed.

Details of Ukrainian Defense Ministry’s letter on supply of arms to Armenia become known

        13 August 2012, 18:30 (GMT+05:00)

The details of the letter of head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, Major-General Sergei Gmyza to President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych on arms supplies to Armenia under a contract between Ukrspetsexport and DG Arms Corporation (the mediator of Armenian Defense Ministry) became known.
The letter offers to use front companies registered in EU and CIS for supplies. The letter contains a scheme of illegal supply of 12 units of multiple Smerch rocket launching systems and their components, as well as 50 Igla MANPADS from Ukraine to Armenia.
As noted in the letter, Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry received information about the contract between the Ukrspetsexport and DG Arms Corporation (the mediator of Armenian Defense Ministry) to supply 12 units of Smerch multiple rocket launching systems and their components, 50 Igla MANPADS, as well as the fact that Armenia has already paid 50 percent of contract value.
At the same time Gmyza indicates that Azerbaijan may be aware of this deal.
Not wanting to jeopardize the military-technical and energy cooperation between Azerbaijan and Ukraine, Ukrspetsexport is invited to "publicly renounce the fact of an agreement with the Armenian side." At the same time the Armenian company is offered to simulate the appeal to arbitration, "the spread among its environment of sharply negative attitude to the leadership of Ukrspetsexport and the Ukrainian side, as an unreliable supplier."
At the same time head of the Main Intelligence Directorate of the Ukrainian Defense Ministry proposed to carry out the delivery of Smerch sets in a conspiracy from the territory of Moldova, "using front companies registered in the EU or the CIS."
Marking on the products this should be changed, and in the case of disclosure of fraud to conceal origin of Igla MANPADS by warehouses in Libya, looted by rebels of the liberation movement.

Ukraine Rejects Reports Of Selling Missile Systems To Armenia

The Ukrainian Foreign Ministry has described as a provocation media reports in Azerbaijan alleging that Ukraine sold multiple rocket launchers and mobile missile systems to Armenia in 2011.

Foreign Ministry spokesman Oleksandr Dykusarov said at a press briefing on August 14 that Ukraine had been strictly observing the international obligations assumed before the UN and the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe, as well as national legislation.

Armenia's Defense Ministry also denied the reports on August 14.

Armenia and Azerbaijan have been in conflict for around three decades over Azerbaijan's Armenian-controlled enclave of Nagorno-Karabakh, with a fragile cease-fire in place since 1994.

The self-proclaimed Republic of Nagorno-Karabakh has not been recognized by any other country.

Ukraine sold to Azerbaijan not only Smerch but also MIG-29 and SU-25's in the past few years. And correct me if i am wrong we also bought two l-39's from them just a year ago. Maybe thats why that i can't understand why they feel necessity to reject news about selling weapons to us. and on the other hand i also can't understand why we or Ukraine should feel fear with making such deals. I think this situation shows us that we are playing cards in the wrong way.. we never made statment when Azeris made arm deal with Israel, we never warned Ukraine when they sold aircrafts, helicopters to Azeris. And look at the result. We are trying to make secret deal with the same country which is main arm seller to our enemy? I think sometimes we are forgetting that we are a country which is preparing for a new war. We should revise our policy .
