Forum Rules (Everyone Must Read!!!)

1] What you CAN NOT post.

You agree, through your use of this service, that you will not use this forum to post any material which is:
- abusive
- vulgar
- hateful
- harassing
- personal attacks
- obscene

You also may not:
- post images that are too large (max is 500*500px)
- post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or cited properly.
- post in UPPER CASE, which is considered yelling
- post messages which insult the Armenians, Armenian culture, traditions, etc
- post racist or other intentionally insensitive material that insults or attacks another culture (including Turks)

The Ankap thread is excluded from the strict rules because that place is more relaxed and you can vent and engage in light insults and humor. Notice it's not a blank ticket, but just a place to vent. If you go into the Ankap thread, you enter at your own risk of being clowned on.
What you PROBABLY SHOULD NOT post...
Do not post information that you will regret putting out in public. This site comes up on Google, is cached, and all of that, so be aware of that as you post. Do not ask the staff to go through and delete things that you regret making available on the web for all to see because we will not do it. Think before you post!


2] Use descriptive subject lines & research your post. This means use the SEARCH.

This reduces the chances of double-posting and it also makes it easier for people to see what they do/don't want to read. Using the search function will identify existing threads on the topic so we do not have multiple threads on the same topic.

3] Keep the focus.

Each forum has a focus on a certain topic. Questions outside the scope of a certain forum will either be moved to the appropriate forum, closed, or simply be deleted. Please post your topic in the most appropriate forum. Users that keep doing this will be warned, then banned.

4] Behave as you would in a public location.

This forum is no different than a public place. Behave yourself and act like a decent human being (i.e. be respectful). If you're unable to do so, you're not welcome here and will be made to leave.

5] Respect the authority of moderators/admins.

Public discussions of moderator/admin actions are not allowed on the forum. It is also prohibited to protest moderator actions in titles, avatars, and signatures. If you don't like something that a moderator did, PM or email the moderator and try your best to resolve the problem or difference in private.

6] Promotion of sites or products is not permitted.

Advertisements are not allowed in this venue. No blatant advertising or solicitations of or for business is prohibited.

      Azerbaijan spent $13 mln on military hardware of South African Republic in 3 months of 2013

      The New Age reported that Azerbaijan spent $13 mln on South African military hardware. According to the Stockholm International Peace Research Institute, Azerbaijan purchased 30 Marauder and 30 Matador mine resistant vehicles from South African Republic.

        Armenian-Chinese cooperation to expand in military education

        YEREVAN. – A Chinese delegation, led by Major General Go Yandun, Vice Rector of the Command Institute of the People’s Liberation Army of the People’s Republic of China, is visiting Armenia between September 7 and Tuesday.

        On Monday, the delegation was received by Armenia’s First Deputy Defense Minister Davit Tonoyan, the Armenian MOD press service informs.

        The parties reached agreements with respect to expanding collaboration in the domain of military education.

        Along the lines of its visit to Armenia, the Chinese delegation also met with the Armenian military servicemen that have graduated from the military education institutions of China.
        Armenia’s First Deputy Defense Minister received a delegation from China…

          Ս. թ. սեպտեմբերի 9-ին ՀՀ ՊՆ վարչական համալիրում կայացել է «Արձագանք-2013» ռազմավարական հրամանատարաշտաբային մարզումների նախապատրաստման միջգերատեսչական աշխատանքային խմբի խորհրդակցություն, որը վարել է ՀՀ նախագահի աշխատակազմի ղեկավարի տեղակալ Վարդան Մակարյանը:
          Նիստին մասնակցել են ՀՀ պաշտպանության նախարարի առաջին տեղակալ Դավիթ Տոնոյանը, ՀՀ պետական կառավարման մարմինների ներկայացուցիչներ:
          Համաձայն ՀՀ Նախագահի 2011թ. հունիսի 20-ի ՆՀ-103-ՆՀԳ հրամանագրով հաստատված ՀՀ զինված ուժերի զարգացման պլանի և ՀՀ կառավարության 20.06.2013թ. թիվ 653-ԱԳ որոշման՝ ս.թ հոկտեմբերին ՀՀ պետական և ռազմական կառավարման մարմինների հետ համատեղ անց են կացվելու «Արձագանք-2013» ռազմավարական հրամանատարաշտաբային մարզումներ` «Պետության բարձրագույն պաշտոնատար անձանց աշխատանքը ռազմաքաղաքական որոշումների կայացման ժամանակ» թեմայով:
          Մարզումների նպատակն է.
          1. Պետական կառավարման մարմիններին, առաջարկությունների նախապատրաստման հարցերով, փորձ հաղորդել ռազմաքաղաքական իրավիճակի գնահատման, իրավիճակի գնահատումից եզրակացությունների մշակման և ՀՀ ԶՈՒ գերագույն գլխավոր հրամանատարի որոշման ընդունման համար:
          2.Բարձրացնել պետական և ռազմական կառավարման մարմինների աշխատանքի ներդաշնակվածության մակարդակը ռազմաքաղաքական իրավիճակի սրման պայմաններում:
          3.Կառավարման համակարգում ներդնել նոր արդյունավետ միջոցներ:

                    Armenia plans to fully replace Russia-produced communications systems by those meeting NATO standards

                    Baku. Rashad Suleymanov – APA. Armenia is going to purchase new communications equipments for armed forces from the French THALES company.

                    APA reports that the sides are currently negotiating in this regard.

                    The negotiations are being conducted within the framework of the program to improve communications system of Armenia’s armed forces. According to THALES representatives, Armenia’s Defense Ministry plans to fully replace Russia-produced communications systems by improved communications means meeting NATO standards.

                    Armenia’s Defense Ministry is also in talks with THALES company in connection with battle management systems.

                    Up to now, Armenia has purchased flight control systems for airport, as well as some systems for helicopters from THALES.

                    The flight control systems purchased from THALES have been installed at Khankendi airport, which is under occupation of Armenia.
